Well, invisibility will be dispelled if the recipient makes a direct attack, so I guess that's out for us fighters. Bless has some value, and I think we have a couple of rounds before pretty face here summons his inevitable goons. So, unless someone objects, go ahead.
ETA: Bless is a range spell, right?
ETA 2: I doubt command undead will be effective with the end boss. Save it for the goons.

Does backstab damage apply to undead? All the PHB says is that "the victim must be generally humanoid" and that "the thief must be able to reach a significant target area."
(Gilles is considering casting invisibility to undead on himself to try to sneak up and shank this guy. If he has 4 or less HD he doesn't even get a save to see Gilles before he attacks.)

AH, I'm a bit lost on the round count. Is this still the first or the second round of battle? Between Dorgan (2), Atani (5/2) and Flintbeard (1?) we should be getting in 4 to 5 attacks per round on the Prince. Up to now, only 3 (2+1) attacks are accounted for.
Man I just realized that maybe the best way to fight slow plodding stinky-save-or-gag undead isn't to run into the iddle of them, but maybe shoot them from afar with a fire barrier
