Hand drawn 2D fighting game, looks like a better version of Burtal: Paws of Fury.

Tactics Elemental (page offers you SFW or NSFW versions). Fred Perry (of Gold Digger semi-fame) is doing a naughty tactical game. Like FFT, but with sexier cutscenes.

Goal seems low for an computer game?

From its kickstarter page:

"A weird west tactical with world map exploration, a hint of adventure and a drop of RPG."

Pathologic is an amazing game plagued by bugs (and poor english translation). Still, everyone must play it, or at least read the LP thread on lparchive.

Pocket Rumble has relaunched.
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

So Koji Igarashi is doing another Castlevania-style game.

The Kickstarter has been up for two days now and is currently at 1.8 million. So it looks like it's going to happen.

Just in general, this thing where you can sell tens of thousands of copies of your thingamajig before you start working on it, it seems like a super concept. It's like you get small-fry speculative shareholders and instead of taking a chunk of your profits they get a ten-cent piece of plastic each, maybe, someday.

Just like capitalism only without any capitalists at all. Freaky stuff.

It seems HBS will be bringing BATTLETECH to Kickstarter this fall. Im not really familiar with Battletech but it seems to be popular with a couple people on the board so I thought I'd mention.

I am an HBS fan. I thought SR Returns was ok and Dragonfall was pretty good and Director's Cut was even better. It's nice to see a company whose games seem to be improving with every release rather than getting worse like some others I could name. Hopefully Hong Kong will continue that trend. Even better they are one of the few companies using Kickstarter that seem to actually be really good at it. Delivering shit mostly on time.

What do you think? End of the world for you? Cautiously optimistic?

After what happened to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MechWarrior_Tactics ?
I am hopefull. Shadowrun they ballsed up a bit in my eyes, but it was a good attempt nonetheless. In BT, you do not have to deal with characters, lines of exposition and the such usually. And the rules are simple enough to get into computer form. See MegaMek. And Weisman was with Battletech from the beginning, Mechwarrior was FanPro/Fasa back then.
I had given over 200€ for the Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter but nothing for Hong Kong because i was a bit disappointed in SRR. I'll probably be giving a reasonable ammount of money for this as well. All i am hoping for is basically a better MegaMek. Some better Graphics, a better community/server system for multiplayer. Hell, they could actually get the persistent Universe Multiplayer Community Warfare MWO touted long ago to actually work! The Main-Problem i see with this will be the time a game like that can and will take.
A 4 Mechs VS 4 Mechs game can take anywhere between 2 and 6 hours in my experience <.<

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Worth mentioning Satellite Reign the game from my original post on this thread has hit full release.

It's pretty OK, but there are things about it that aren't sufficiently Syndicatey for my liking. Still the closest shot anyone has tried since Syndicate proper, so not too bad.

I bought in on that project. High hopes.
That one had caught me the interest as well when it first showed up, as I love myself some tactical RPGs.

But it's been one year and an half and here's how it stands:
-They are focusing on making it a multiplayer match game.
-Launch delayed until gods know when.
-Barely any hard game information revealed, only a few screenshots.
-They're using squares instead of disguised hexes.
-THEY! ARE! FOCUSING! ON! MAKING! IT! A! MULTIPLAYER! MATCH! GAME!
