Did you try the sheets on Mythweavers? They auto calculate some stuff, but not all of it. If you want, I wouldn't mind walking you through character creation in 3.5, PF or Tome.
If you're interested, open up a new thread and start making a character. Let me know what parts give you trouble and I'll try to explain them. Then I'll just throw in a few random combat scenarios to help you learn combat.
