Has anyone thrown out 3.0/3.5 for an ossr? Either as a comparison of the improvements/changes into 3.5 or just as a standard ossr for the edition?

And speaking of tmnt I just picked up a copy at the shop today, haven't played in forever but that would make for a good one as I reread it.

Various 3.0/3.5 books have been OSSR'd, but not the PHB, DMG, or MM as far as I know.

Yeah my thought was the actual core system itself. Phb/dmg/mm.

The problem with reviewing 3.0 core, which has been suggested earlier in thread, is the sheer volume that would entail (though people could do it in pairs, with a pair per book, and it wouldn't be too horrible to undertake compared to some of the other books people have done in pairs, but the other issue is familiarity and rehashing.

That said, I think it would be hilarious to review MM with Koumei, if our schedules allowed.

Ok, so this is a bit like asking someone to throw themselves on a live grenade, but Little Fears sounds really cool. But apparently is really horrible. It's 13 years old (it's actually too old to be a protagonist in itself, hilariously). Anyone want to do an OSSR?

Super tempted to do a N-OSSR (new old school sourcebook review) in celebration of 5e's return to the bad old days. Specifically an entry by entry walk through of the Monster Manual.

I finished reading it a few nights ago and don't think there were more than 10 (wild guess) monsters that didn't piss me off. Assuming you don't apply "Bonded accuracy is terrible" as a mark against each one individually.

Any interest in that, or should I let it go 10 more years? (or let someone cooler and funnier do it)

Meh, go for it. Just remember, there are two forms of review here- drunk rantviews, and OSSRs. Just make it the former.

I'd like to see that too. I can sort of understand some of the changes from 3e, even if I don't agree with them, but the dumbing down of the monsters is indefensible.

1d4chan says that isn't even done. Have they even settled on a core mechanic after figuring out that Dark Heresy was garbage for mech battles?

I would be pleased if someone were to do an XNSR (eXtremely New Sourcebook Review) of Gempunks.

You added an extraneous "for mech battles" in there.

I'll take a stab at the 3.0 PHB, in the perspective of a new upgrade to AD&D 2nd and the BD&D Rules Cyclopedia. If that goes well, the DMG and MM should be a breeze.

I should really finish some of my earlier works, but you know, Mike Mearls gets paid to drop stuff and start over, so meh.

He might have meant that they were too stupid to realize that it was shit for everything else.

I'd love to see Ancient History and Frank throw down and review the Ars Magica 5E core book, since it's about 10 years old now

I'd love to see a review of the pre-saga d20 Stars Wars game. If I can find the books I might do it myself.

Can we get a WoD: Gypsies review? People keep talking about how terrible it is, but how exactly is it terrible?

I request the Cyberpunk 2020? Tabletop RPG (whatever ones people would play and be most applicable), since It's been on mind lately thanks to a single image from Red Rob ways back (The Dragoon walking tank).
