http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?s ... [br]posted the logs of session one there:

Some observations, a couple of people mentioned personal life stuff in 'why we need to end now' reasons, and I edited those out, which makes a few weird disjointed bits.

I didn't do any other editing, so its shit for readability. If someone else wants the .txt files thats okay.

Characterwise, I was pleased how my technomancer actually worked, though I also noticed that I'd made more than a few mistakes in character generation, like forgetting to define my 'tradition' (I'd spent quite some time making up a table of all the rituals vs sprites to come up with a selection that did want I wanted + was fun, then forgot to actually write the result down :( nor had I defined my mentor.

Gamewise AIM clearly has gremlins, and a combination of pressure from some players and (I think) frank losing track of events a bit in a few places meant that some players (Narse in particular) got a bit less screen time than was optimal.

And the personnel on the station are clearly refugees from sanityland.

When several players talk at once it ends up being a period of silence followed by a rush of several statements flooding in at once, which pushes the first in up to the top and off the screen. I think I got a better handle on the problem by the end.

Yeah, first time I've ever played a chatroom game, and I was losing track of what was happening in places because of the unparalleled ability of everyone to open there virtual mouths at once. To answer your question on dumpshock, the multiple textual colours was immediately recognizable for the computer, but less so for the bit players, possibly because of the ALLCAPS for the computer.

I was reminded of paranoia.

Has AIM gotten rid of that retarded ~100 character limit per message in a chat room yet? I don't think any other messengers have that stupidity. Because that's seriously painful when you type a long message and it gets sent to the bit bucket with nothing but a "Message exceeded character limit".

No, luckily I had a buffer that allowed to use previous messages :)

There are other services beyond AIM, you know.

I drank a lot on Thursday night and woke up to spend Friday in the hospital. Anyway, I trashed up my computer pretty good.
Just thought I'd give a better explanation for why I missed the session on Saturday than 'my computer was out of commission'.

I'm looking forward to reading over the session logs now that my hang-over has abated.

And wow, it seems like this is the time to be drinking, as the Count has his own thread...

Hey, of all places, Catharz, we feel your hurt here. Glad you're at least OK, in the general sense.

I personally have had weird irregular web access.

And by irregular, I mean 20 minutes and then a disconnect for a minute. But also I haven't been able to communicate that to DS.
