It's a style people can enjoy, but frustrating for those looking for a thinking man's game. That's the thing though, Cyberzombie. If you're DMing and trying to follow all the many guidelines that people in other threads claim are somehow meaningless, Dungeon World requires too much more thinking. O...

I just have one question: can i play with a tentacle monster? You pervert. E: Yes Atmo, you ecchi motherfucker. You can play with a tentacle monster. You two have a very dirty mind; i would create a Chef tentacle monster on Dungeon World and try to find my place in the world. Of course i wou...

Do you have any argument against AW that cannot be resolved by refusing to play with assholes? Yup, this. ;) I wanted to talk something, but this line exposed my thoughts. The rules in Shadowrun just say "you successfully sabotaged the fucking thing, and nothing bad happens." So the DM do...

Playing erotic/sexual stories on your table? I'm used to it. Sometimes i call my players only for that; and they play it, of course.

Then even for a NPC those feats are a no-no? Well, i know that the most basic Black Tentacles can be used to give some nightmares to starting players, even Summon Monster (linking a gate to Shokushu-kai).

Question on 7 Tendril Tentacle Spell Feats

Is this what i'm thinking? http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/images/97/103666.jpg Sometimes rules supplements read like the world-setting bible of frustrated novelists. While solid world- building is a useful skill, you don’t always need four paragraphs of flavor text to tell you swords are cool, magic ...

Or, if you are male, wear hilariously inappropriate cosplay. My co-host is a manry dude crossplaying Letty, so that's sort of covered. But past experience suggests it won't compare with what some of the audience will be wearing, anyways. So far we're planning to demonstrate a stage of SA, PCB, and ...

Talk about the games, how fun is to play (even in Lunatic), the PVs, how music is good and bring some girl in cosplay.

Ok, here are the systems I would suggest based on what you want to play, but not necessarily your OP criteria: Mutants and Masterminds 2nd : I know you don't like western supers, so just ignore the spandex in the art. M&M is fluff agnostic, that r4 Blast could be arcane gestures conjuring fire,...

Perhaps more important is the question "What kind of game do you want to run?" Something i always forget to clarify. I like fantasy stories were characters can use magic with a good chance, where magic isn't the villian of the story and technology and magic can coexist. I could name Star ...

Ski's Chargen, yeah. M&M is primarily for supers, yes. It's also really flexible, though, which is nice. But it is founded on some very Super-centric things, like episodic games and a more or less lack of actual character advancement. I'd be interested in what you don't like about supers, but t...

M&M: Wasted my time creating sheets and listening "its wrong" everytime i showed to a veteran in this system. Then i got to the ATT and some crazy fan (after various posts of discussion and quasi-flame) yelled: "then just go play something else, you are too dumb to play M&M!&...

What was the problem with Savage Worlds? I'm not disagreeing, but "slow and boring" is an unusual criticism. You might look at Fate, at least. It's "pay what you like", so you could get the pdf for a dollar to check it out, then chip in more later if you do like it. http://www.f...

Well, here i am again to spill some news about the choices. D&D4e: Player2 didn't even got those books, and i didn't wanted to go after eiter. Savage Worlds: Slow and boring, my ideas didn't fit the system. OldDragon: Totally forgot about that, then when i got to read the playtest book... it's r...

Summarizing, the actual Den is just a trap. Newcomers won't be welcomed and interesting discussions carry the fate of being destroyed by trolls, be them with a low or high number of posts. Well in the part ye were quoting, mostly just seems to be that Mistborn/Mr.GC / Shadzar have to watch out for ...

Since this is the aberrant posters thread now why is that I in particular am the focal point of so much butthurt? It seems like sometimes people are even going against the Den's party line just because I'm the one posting it. I've felt this notion as well, where people would disagree simply just to...
