Here's the thing. When someone posts something unbelievably dumb and mockable you can get banned for rightfully telling them what a stupid little bitch they are. But calling someone a troll or claiming their post is so dumb they must be trolling is allowed on almost every board I've been on. I know ...

I hope they do find some way to arrest that idiot or otherwise fuck him. People should be legally liable for irresponsible handling of dangerous shit they own. Leaving a loaded gun lying around pretty much anywhere in the world is grossly negligent. Even if it was his own house and he lived alone th...

You can't teach players to be better detectives in my experience. Some people are good at piecing stuff together into a coherent theory and some people aren't. You make the players feel better at it by making it easier on them because investigation is hard enough when interacting with the real world...

Well, I have Ursula, but I don't know what her stats look like that. Our best bet is probably to expend some of our resources into a supernatural version of Alaska's favorite pasttime, hunting wolves from helicopters. We need several hundred thousand silver m16 rounds. Or 12 suicide vests loaded wi...

Really, the list of possible class-agnostic abilties is huge. The trick is to get out of the mind-set of making abilities that are designed to just improve an existing ability that is pretty iconic to DnD 3e and later editions. I never saw the biggest problem as finding abilities anyone would want....

I just have no idea how you could pull off class agnostic abilities in anything like DnD. You're talking about creating something separate yet equal. For every class. Something like a BAB increase for one race is right the fuck out. Different SLA's for each race? Good luck achieving spell parity for...

Im going to assume this is honest miscommunication because I do often say things unclearly. I am not trying to claim I have never in my life made an assumption about what another player's character can do. I am not trying to claim that assumption has never been correct. I am saying there's no meanin...

So invading personal space, rather than pointing from a distance sufficient that just waving in a general direction is not enough? I'm sure that nearly all of us have had people invade our space, even outside of conflicts. In particular I remember a guy I used to meet at work who just didn't seem t...

Pointing at people is actually considered somewhat rude The whole country decided that they'd take one of the killer apps of the last million years for fingers and bipedalism and deprecate it? I could have written that clearer I suppose. I put in a bolded clarification. Well I don't make etiquette,...

But you don't actually have to know so and so might have X. My experience at the table has always been. Player 1: I have an idea! Does anyone know forgery? Can anyone disguise themselves as this person etc. Player 2: Nope. Player 3: I have forgery skill. Player 4: I have disguise. Fucking seriously...

If you come to the first challenge in the game where it would be nice if someone had forgery, it's fucking convenient to know that the Rogue probably has that ability and the Druid probably doesn't. It means that when Jacob gets back from the bathroom you can ask him if his Rogue has forgery. You a...

A meta appropriate cleric of drunkeness. Youre all drunk and so are all your enemies!
Shouldnt be too tough to play drunk. Its all about channel energy spam. Spells are just a bonus.

UnREAL and Mr. Robot. UnReal is having a real hard time trying to sell me on the whole awesome relationship that Rachael and Jeremy had since Jeremy is a boring secondary character. Yes Adam has gotten basically all the screentime, development and chemistry and Jeremy has had a few seconds of looki...

@Seth To my mind it isn't necessary. I believe the devices mysteries lie in the mystical and not the technological. Speaking of risk we really should depart from Elysium. It'd be best to assume this place is being watched and thus what we have spoken of here is known. To Suzanne, Hermes and the grou...

In original BG2, they're supposed to use Charisma, but they use Intelligence due to a coding flaw. I think BGEE was supposed to have fixed that, but my Sorcerers always wind up with 18 Int and Cha so I can't tell you for certain. Actually in original BG2 they dont have ANY casting stat. Character C...

2. Im not a lawyer so I may say something stupid. At first thought I would assume the flag is government property and thus the minimum charge is vandalizing government property. The penalty for fucking with government property? http://www.justice.gov/usam/criminal-resource-manual-1666-destruction-go...
