I spent like 20 minutes browsing that site and I don't think I read a single actual rule. Most of it is pages describing how awesome this game is, if only there were a goddamn book you could read to learn how to play it.

That sentence doesn't really imply they aren't weapon attacks, it implies that you can use an unarmed strike in place of a weapon to make a "melee weapon attack".

Combines pretty well with the Magical Lineage trait as well. Pick it up through Additional Traits and retrain it to whatever summon monster spell you're going to use to summon bruisers whenever you gain a new spell level and you can summon nothing but giant monsters all day without relying on rods.

Relative level difference matters. It's entirely reasonable to want a group of 5th level characters to have a shot against a 9th level one, but not want a squad of 1st level archers to shit all over a 20th level character.
