Finally, the above is based on the absolute best case scenario that Bolsonaro doesn't start 2019 by simply doing what has been a more or less obvious subtext on his and his vice's speeches and declare opposition illegal . So, things will get dire here, with the only unknown part being if the bad ti...

Witcher 3 sold 33 million copies, so yes, it's a pretty big name in modern fantasy, getting its second TV show and all. And yes, Witcher TTRPG book has pretty good art. Now, unlike WiserOdin I think that Witcher TTRPG is total trash. I mean, who does random chargen these days? But there are compell...

So what is the main selling point of an actual mid-budget Witcher tabletop RPG like this? I've played the first two games, and I enjoyed them, and I imagine I'll enjoy the third when I play it. But I couldn't tell you a single thing about the setting or the magic at this point. Do people have a genu...

That is.... incredibly stupid. "I can't imagine magical fucking powers healing people to full. I can however imagine that bandages instantly heal broken bones and bloodloss." Please read what I said. Omegonthesane did. I'm not saying that I can't imagine magical powers healing people. I'm...

So they created resonance to limit the use of CLW wands because BADWRONGFUN. In the last update, they added a new use of medicine to heal each character to full HP for free between each combat. Wait; what? I'm not trying to disagree with the overall thrust of your argument. But I think that this is...

I recently finished the revival season of Twin Peaks . It's a genuinely remarkable achievement as a piece of surrealist art, and it still manages to be, for the most part, coherently plotted. I'm not quite sure why Showtime decided to give David Lynch this much creative freedom, but he knocked it ou...

A few pages ago, I mentioned this mod for the first Dark Souls called Prepare to Die Again (https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/1372/). It remixes enemy, item, and bonfire locations. Some bossfights are also modified. It's mostly just single-player. I recently finished my playthrough, and it's ...

The real issue of course is to convince players to actually allow a month or a season or a year to pass. And I would suggest the easiest way to do that is to have a maximum amount of territory your domain can digest in a time period, thus causing players to be required to hunker down and let an adm...

Do you know how closely the PnP rules adhere to the CRPG ones? The common criticism I saw of PoE's ruleset is that it was too much like 4E.

At the end of the movie, Thanos wins. Duh. We know there's going to be a second part, so honestly this isn't a surprise. It results in half the universe's population being erased. All fine, not really surprising. Very well executed, and it's very emotional. But as the erasure went on, I was taken o...

I recently found a mod for Dark Souls (1) called Prepare to Die Again (https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/1372/). It takes the base game and remixes enemy placements, item locations, and bonfire locations. Some bosses have been given minions as well. I would definitely recommend this mod. I fo...

Genasi getting breath weapons is indeed kind of odd. But if you want to keep it, I've found 4e-style recharge dice to be more enjoyable than prerolled recharge periods. That is, "After you use your breath weapon, it is inactive. At the start of your next turn, you may roll 1d4. On a 4, your bre...

How different of a play experience would you get if you played Pandemic Legacy (S1) with two players vs three or four? It would be really easy to play this with my wife, without worrying about other people's schedules. That being said, if it's not as much fun, maybe I want to go through the hassle ...

In ACKS and LotFP, everything comes down to carrying capacity. 1. Encumbrance is measured in units of stones. The number of stones a person can carry is small enough that you can do the required math in your head. 2. Ammunition is abstracted into a unit called the "quiver". The number of s...

Now the heart of the matter is that basic D&D action is normally set up in the Adventurer motifs of the 16th century. The main characters go exploring, find new civilizations, kill an entire generation of young warriors, loot the temples, and run off with the city burning in their wake while th...

They did make a deal about getting advice from both Pundit and the muffin, so I think they were trying to make the edition attractive to 2nd edition players, but then decided to go in another direction and make it more rules-lite. Zahk Ess does not play second edition. I don't think the pundit does...
