When I buy my mandollies to avoid the australia tax, I use o/s stores with free or cheap postage. I assume you could do the same with sweets, but I'm not sure if you'd want sweets that have spent 2 weeks in the back of a shipping container. I suggest that the 10% you'd gain would be easier get by pu...

The real issue is how the fuck productive businesses are supposed to get investment if the entire stock market has been reduced to a Potemkin village. The Chinese people aren't dumb, so I assume that they are going to start issuing profit-dependent bonds that act suspiciously like stock but (at lea...

I've been mulling over this for a while, but at the moment, the world doesn't seem fleshed out enough for a d20 style game. A Fate base is my current idea, because it makes it easier to group a reasonable amount of disparate character types. As for world building, I'm waiting until the end of book 2...

In Australia the most right wing paper is reporting; The accused church gunman made a racist rant and reloaded five times during the attack which left nine dead, a survivor tells friend. Most news sources are reporting it as a racial hate attack and following with Obama's comments framed as a call f...

Alright, back to my question on junglers; Other options are: Zac, assuming I can get his ult to work right; Rek'Sai, just give up some cc; Naut, who I've jungled before but support wants him now; maybe Jax, Aatrox or Rengar who are less cc based and not FotM. Right now I'm still spamming Vi, but I'm...

IDK what I'm going to do once the Sej nerfs go through. She's carrying for me hard. And I really don't enjoy Amumu as much. Go back to Vi, I suppose :( Just not the same. Any other suggestions? Someone with a dash, engage and is tanky?

I've just joined a 5e game because it's the one available when I am. Lo and Behold I've discovered that WotC still doesn't offer the rules in any type of ebook. WTF? Is it selling so badly they're not even going to put in that basic amount of effort? Or they think that it's going to drive players to...

I used to play a great deal of cho out of the jungle, so I was pleasantly surprised to find I can now play him mid without being considered a troll. So much fun.

I'm hating that Xin is my best jungler at the moment. Probably because my MMR is just assassins and vayne.

Sounds like a party some of my more wealthy friends have thrown for their kids.
Really just for the parents, with plenty of snap opportunities, and champagne on hand.
Highly recommended for adults, kids can have fun too, maybe.

Tomb of Horrors and similar adventures such as To The Aid Of Falx were competition modules, run with a specified set of adventurers at cons. The winners were chosen by who either won, or survived with the most loot. As such those modules in particular are full of closet trolls and in general created...

Given I started playing in season 2 where the list of viable adcs was Graves, Ezreal, Corki I think this is an exciting era of champion diversity :ohwell:. I've seen Kalista occasionally, she seems decent in the hands of someone who can play her, but maybe the skill cap is a little high and if you m...

The thing is that the idea of a hardcore, high risk game with lots of player death is completely outside of the comic experience. The comic itself has many repeating characters, very few of whom have died. Even the repeating grunts rarely die. While a gritty, dark emotion driven game may work for a ...

It looks to me like trying to calculate the odds of something in your head is going to be rather difficult. Should I try and jump the gap? I have 8 dice and need 4 hits. Looks like 50% at unskilled, but isn't because of 1s, I believe it is 50% at skilled. even though there's a bonus. And as you go u...

Is an adult tyrannosaurus physically capable of jumping? Are raptors able to climb trees? Given elephants can't jump due to their weight, I'd be very surprised if any of the tyrannosaur family could without shattering their bones. I see no reason why a raptor couldn't climb a tree if goats can .

As an aside, how do Australians feel about being legally obligated to vote? Love it, because it means that the populace at large cares more about politics than they otherwise would. Doesn't stop complete turkeys like Abbott being elected, but it means that parties can't go into elections with crazy...

I'd bet money on it being a hardware issue rather than a software issue.
Given that it's a new PC I'd be inclined to have it in for repair.

TBH not my finest hour, no kills until that point. Just being carried by a poke comp, but the enemy all got too low, grouped up and I ult'd into the middle of them. Still!

We frequently have to cull lots of things out of overpopulation, yeah. That said, I don't know if that could have been avoided by government intervention - resettlement, cutting back on logging and so on. In all likelihood though, Environment Minister Greg Hunt* just needed them to die so he could ...
