Well, it will be on amazon for sure, though I will try to place it in some local stores. My publisher is in LA, so I'm sure there will be some there, and I am in PDX so I will try to at least get it in Dark Horse Comics' store.

I replied to a thread on GitP about a 'mana point' system, and apart from whatever mathematical difficulties there might be, I did come up with some ideas on how that could make for some interesting applications. Here is my response: "So, while I haven't gotten too deep in the numbers, and prob...

"Dusk Player's Guide"

Does anyone have this pdf? I thought it sounded very interesting, an intersection of MtG and D&D. Never was a big Magic head- actually, according to the dudes at Dark Horse back in the day, I was one of the first five people in PDX to buy a deck. I played for a couple of months, ran a white/blac...

You know, I thought about that credit issue, and somehow it just seemed awkward to put 'Frank Trollman and K's'. But I'll find another way to word it.

Yeah, I'll definitely update when it's out. Did anybody want to have a read of the pdf? Just do me an Amazon review later. ;)

No, book's done. Illustrations are as far as they're going to get, my publisher has some legal wrangles to finish up, and then we're off to the races. This book has been such a pain. I got a tattoo sponsorship, and was interviewed on camera while getting the tattoo of the book cover. Then the book w...

I see one problem: "pussy boils". Now that is a nasty visual. I believe the word you're looking for is 'pustulent.'

Antipaladin Blues

http://i365.photobucket.com/albums/oo91/jigokubosatsu/bedsheetsdone.jpg It's hard out here for an antipaladin. The city of D is in trouble. The forces of 'good' want to keep the people down, by using an iron fist in a velvet glove- but they're going to draw back an iron stump if Kannon has anything...

Not to mention the great system of trappings. You can now become an assassin, because you have a dagger and a hat! Or whatever. It's been years since I played, and I ran a game where everyone started as necromancers or chaos warriors.

Isn't the "halfling-falls-out-of-canoe-and-is-eaten-by-giant-pike" trope at work here?

Hm. Well, I'm an oldschool roleplayer, and haven't actually played for over a decade, but these sort of things always got to me. Like murderous paladins, 'evil' mindless undead, etc. So a few years back I wrote a novel that examines those things, pokes a little fun at how d&d works, etc. It's ca...
