Terminator 2 and Jurassic World both have memorable chase scenes involving vehicles and creatures who can keep up, while being far short of The Flash level superspeed. Haven't seen JW, link on what you have? T2 was the chase from the asylum? T2, that wasn't outside Olympic sprinter really, they can...

I know the DMCA overreaches by miles, but it doesn't go that far. Far safer than houses.

Need to think more about how to better present material and make that first character build decision tree easier before contributing anything useful (that would of course be unencumbered by any sane legal claim).

AS seems to be a bit higher power level than I would really want to deal with in a world next door game, but you have to deal with the dicks you have and all. So 23 or so years down the line someone at WW published a good fortitude idea. Granted took me a couple minutes, but Alabastard is going in t...

You don't need peace in the Middle East first go on a celerity fix for AS (and I forget how that worked anyway). I'd probably split it into options to use (not separate powers), but I'm not sure how to scale it with more of it and whether it's worth bothering. - I go first as long as someone doesn't...

Assuming you mean to build a new skill system and die roll mechanic and...? If you have to rebuild the entire game from mechanics to fluff to make it playable, doesn't seem like such a big deal to take the part you like and drop into a workable system. Just put the names you like in AS or Pathfinder...

It's your thread, outline what you're looking for better (because a glance through doesn't tell me enough). Does it have to be warhammer-like but playable by sane people with lives? How interesting are the mechanics allowed to be? What are you married to game-design-wise? Do you have too much money ...

Varies by edition.

Usually they're equipment, you buy em :)

Druids, rangers and most casters get something like that. I think you're talking animal handling and skill tricks, then feat/class interactions to change what you're allowed to get.

Unfortunately, magic rules hard in Erf World, maybe even more than puns or popculture references. Probably use the Olive Branch model, win by enforcing peace when/where you're weak. Maybe a little of Digdug if you get good hex parameters. They always say Hat Magic is stronger than it's been portraye...

General starting pc can't reliably get into a car so I think the white house is out. Gen 5-7 would have the bullshit levels of the good disciplines to not have to worry about a military battalion hunting them: they'd only be found if they felt like it and even if they weren't, the social disciplines...

Alright, blood pool is dumber than I thought even considering I started thinking it was pretty dumb. Glanced at hunting for blood, oh my. If you have less than 7-self control blood points, hello frenzy check. Other than that hunting is a pretty simple check, provided you have the hour + travel time ...

The hand-wavium isn't that hard. Ok it's harder because the rules and setting assumptions are so bad, if that weren't the case historical wouldn't be too bad to play or run a story around (except that you'd be humanity -90 in 10 seconds around real history). But since they're modern weak vamps that ...

Ah, confused with card game (can add a disc when diablerizing there).

Note: you lose a humanity point with diablerie. That's the real reason you can't do it.

How did thaumaturgy interact with diablerie? It may have been an awful discipline in the card game (or at least they couldn't survive to the second round of combat to use the good thaumaturgy cards), but at least it really put out in the weird card art category: http://i.imgur.com/ifExIyB.jpg Note: ...

You replace plasma much faster than that and blood cells much slower. It also takes you 3 seconds to suck the tablespoon of blood out of a rat too (half a blood point according to table?) Anyway I think it's a weird thing to get hung up on considering say weapon damages and the amount of realism the...

I didn't see stats for cows, so that might be ok. Pigs will slaughter you if you don't have animalism (3str/2dex/3vit/6wounds/3damagedice). If cows are near horse stats, one will splat you if you don't win init. I saw a mention that half your blood drained = needs medical attention for normals. That...

Longes, as said, there's a couple ways to check on lying in general (which is part of Auspex), although if something trumps it Obtenebration is a good bet. Auspex can see generation, there's probably a million other ways. Nos npcs just hear things, and the npc malks too. In theory fine, in practice if you're playing vamp, the ST is encouraged to call that and kill your character. http://i.imgur.com/tpRLXPP.jpg 33rd picture is something maybe relevant? ...

Interesting that it's just not possible to discuss the same game, choosing any one rule to follow means you're tossing out contradictory rules that are just all over the place. Sure Frank calls out animalism as a way to keep somewhat reliably fed. It does mean dipping a few otherwise not useful skil...

The rules on feeding are different everywhere, often in the same book, sometimes in the same chapter. A medium sized dog is as bad as a wolf in the main book (a pack of dogs death of course, but so is a pack of pretty much anything). You'll win, but you won't get enough blood out of it to be worth t...

There's never one right answer to that. Generally the same that makes any game decent enough to have fun with out of box: a good idea of what a starting pc will be able to do and how they can affect the world. Being able to not starve to death in a few days is probably a good start. Rules should be ...

Axis and Allies, oh my. I understand nostalgia, but there's plenty of cheap/free computer versions that'll show how limited the game is (try TripleA). I think everything wolverines blood unless otherwise stated. Revenant just means that they can fuel disciplines with their own blood instead of it having to come from a vamp. (They're descendants of ghouls, a human/vamp hybrid.) Ghouls are fine for feeding on, but they compete with each other for at...
