Even K's example is pretty anime. Look at the club the ogre/giant thing is holding, it's really only a handle and the rest of it's lying in pieces on the ground. Which means swordswoman just cut through what's basically a tree with a few sword strokes.

Did someone write up a WOF rule set while I was not looking, or have we been reduced to having furious ad hominem laced arguments about games that don't even fucking exist? Going back to the op, I think if you wanted to adapt WOF to urban fantasy, or at least Shadowrun, you would want to make the wh...

I liked morrowind, but it had shit for tactical combat. Seriously, chain buffing yourself with potions made you that much better than else tactics were meaningless. When you are so badass that the system can't even display your stats by the time you hit the second town, what you do in combat just do...

Core only caster druids have it pretty bad really. Looking at save spells, Level 1 has the best level 1 save or lose in the game, entangle. Level 2 has got nothing for non animals. Level 3 has got dominate animal and contagion, which both blow. Level 4 has...uh...command plants and repel vermin. Lev...

I am curious as to why Frank hates the Conceptual Balance mod so much, since it seems to be fairly well accepted in the Dominions community.

I am also hoping he responds to this in the form of a funny and scathing rant.

Just listening does a pretty good job of locating an opponent, since they have to win a skill check at minus 20 disadvantage, although that still gives a miss chance.

I think there is a bow mod at crystal keep that negates concealment.

Diablo is the huge sticking point for a summoner necro. He just deals out way too fucking much area effect damage. If you have decrepify and a clay golem, that can help a lot. The 3.5 archer is actually pretty doable. It's rough in the beginning and you probably just want to carry a halberd or something and chop fools up. But once you can get a decent composite bow you can generally put out enough damage to drop a level appropriate foe. You can generally get a decent bow ...
