Malak, that's a strange argument. It goes very far to not actually face the argument at hand, and then it insults the maths vs 'those who play the game more'.

You're right, of course. Which is why I've tried to avoid it. If you counted posts discussing the issue, you'd find more from Kaelik than I.

Which is horribly frustrating.

Can anyone explain to me why pointing out that Fighters blow is resisted so fiercely that even designers take time out of their day to come in to smack you with their dicks? The point of that particular thread wasn't to discuss Pathfinder. The point was to bash the people making Pathfinder. Do you ...

...Why link the two? Because they were linked when Earthdawn was created? The complaint is that "ancient magic wins out over everything else, period" is a cliche and is a tired one on top of that. Which has absolutely bupkis to do with Earthdawn being linked to Shadowrun. -Crissa (I feel l...

Fvcking idiots

Correctly labeling someone is not an attack. The argumentum ad hominem is not always fallacious, for in some instances questions of personal conduct, character, motives, etc., are legitimate and relevant to the issue Pointing out that someone has a male privilege in a male-dominated group in a male-...

If you're going to make an argument, don't take the lazy route. Like Frank has never played WoW, he's making assumptions based upon third hand generalizations. The result is that he's mistaking weapon focus feats in 4e for being similar to WoW, when in fact, they're not.

Lump the responses, people who attack an argument because of who holds it aren't worth respect.

Can we leave my past out of this please? I didn't say you were an example, just that your threads offer into evidence of such. You're just willing to talk about your past, which encourages others. Someone dared to mention women. The gamer guys who are unattractive, insane, unstable, and totally dra...

There's a duck you can put on your head in it. Doesn't change your game stats, though, so no one keeps it. But they all try it if they find it, because that is worth points.

Kaelik, nothing you're saying has anything to do with equality. Hence prodding you to rant endlessly about things which you seem endlessly ignorant about. Like virgil said, it's pretty much a given that gamers are going to be messed up (Count has spawned many a thread which gives very good evidence ...

Of course, put an SR caster in ED and they'll accidentally summon a Horror which would eat them. ...So it's kinda not fair to compare the two directly like that. But the complaint was that Earthdawn was infecting SR, but the evidence just isn't there. What is infecting SR are mary-sue or Forgotten R...

I saw an article recently that was discussing a study that learning seems not to be a straight accumulation of knowledge - so on average, kids do better, then worse, then better again on the same material as they progress. Did anyone else see that? I'll have to look for it. My school had electives l...

But Earthdawn says nothing about technology. For all we know, there's ways to build cities and weapons ala Spirits Within.

Blaming Earthdawn for the dragon porn is stupid. There aren't even super-powerful dragons and elves in Earthdawn.
