So, Kung Fury

It is one of the most actionpacked awesome mind blowing world defying trope toting pieces of filming that I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure that it covers every single trope from 80s cop/kung fu/action movies, and it has Triceracop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS5P_LAqiVg So, does anyone know of...

mines of phandelver 5e

Apparently I'm going to be playing a 5e game using that module. I was wondering if I need to be ridiculously optimized to carry a party through it, or is it actually written well enough that people can play it? (serious doubt on that part)

It hasn't taken off yet, but I'm running a campaign based on 10th level being maximum, and the gods are 15th level, and in the world.

Horus is the pharoah of the upper kingdom, and set is the pharoah of the lower kingdom.

He looks at you an frowns, considering for moment, then sits down at his table. "You were here for the wolf attack, yes?" He doesn't even look at you and carries on speaking. "That is a tricky matter, you see, none of us can die. The farmers that died in that fight are still alive... ...

Just thought of another option.

You could make a feat that allows you to have a spider, and give you spidery attributes as well.

Spider Dude: You can have a spider pet. And you get a climb speed of 30 ft, and blind sense 15 ft. requires animal companion ability.

After looking through the MM at spiders, they are about the same power as a wolf, and wolf is usually the first pick of any druid. Speaking from 3.5 here, I haven't looked at PF. So, I would just allow it right off the bat.

I finally got around to playing FFXIII a few days ago. And there is one part in the game where you search around a field for a needle head sized cocoabo chick. And you do this 4 times! There nothing that I hate more than search and find moments, especially when the object that you are looking for bl...

I've never actually worked with an artifact in any game, nor have I ever looked at the list. If I were to write them, they would have to be some sort of unique enchantment on them that normally wouldn't be on that type of equipment, like armour that increases melee dmg or a sword of flying. (Those a...

It depends on the level that you are playing.

If you are playing Skyrim, then exploding undead and dealing fire damage, while looking cool, is perfectly acceptable.

If you are stopping time, then the artifact probably needs to be an intelligent weapon containing the soul of a dead god.

You could add something about stealing ability scores.

Or perhaps stealing the powers from magic items.

Wrath of the Unknown AKA not-ME3.tm

Scheduling conflicts have forced a game my friend and I were playing to become PBP. Brief Summary: Mane character is a Goliath with a name. He is a paladin using my Neverwinter Nights 2 mod paladin. He is from a school of magic and was given a disc that shows proof that the rachnai are coming. So, t...

Spellthief is an interesting concept, in that it's trying to take do a rogue/mage gish instead of a fighter/mage. There are legs to that idea , and mechanically that shouldn't be impossible - especially in Vancian spellcasting. It's also a natural progression from the rogue's Use Device ability. Wh...

This feat has some problems though. It requires 2nd level arcane spells, and it has shit about only casting spells in light armour. Ontop of that, it requires you to take a shitty class that needs fixing, so that you never reach a good level for this, or it requires you to mix your level with anothe...

So, looking at the shit disaster that this class was, I was thinking of ways to make something that does that and doesn't suck. Essentially, you end up with a new version of the rogue that can steal spells. What I was thinking is basic rogue progression, but instead of the trap stuff, steal spells, ...

Why is dazed a more sever condition than stunned?

I mean, I know that they are synonyms, but stunned turns up a lot more in games, and I know of it mostly as unable to take an action for a short time.

Whereas daze is related to dazzle, which sounds a lot more sparkly, and therefore less dangerous.
