Biden supporters and Sanders supporters getting into heated arguments is hardly unique to this forum, and while they are, as you say, totally pointless arguments on the whole, being stuck in a terrible situation with no good answers means that's not too surprising. Look, it's true there's a lot of ...

I disagree, the politics were always there and it's only with it being aired and talked about that I feel OK actually expressing myself in any openness at this point. I think Kaelik understands as well as I do that this isn't about stopping Trump, this is about the deeper structural issues with the...

On the Den itself, I'd prefer to keep it around so there's a place to go to argue mechanics with about pathfinder and shadowrun and such that at least is a bit more daring if not honest about the discussion, but I'm not sure how well that will go going forward, IMHO seems to have really dropped off...

a bunch of baseless shit about someone that's made 35 posts on this site and joined a year ago Oh I'm sorry so if you're so disinterested and uninvolved in this forum then why are you declaring yourself to be a defender of the community against this meanie whiner you hate so much? Fact is, you're e...

Honestly Frank, accusing a bunch of people of being pedophile-affiliated because they sorta liked some memes produced by a guy who turned out to be a creep is a stretch. I'll be honest, I've no idea about Silverstone either. I agree it sounds like a stretch. But to forestall any more stupid politic...

It starts of course with the fact that people were posting David Silverstone memes. That was disgusting. And no one did anything about it or apologized at all. And I realized that this was an outgrowth of the culture here. A culture that I helped create. Obviously the dirtbaggers are garbage people...

You know zin, I have no idea who you are irl or what you're really like... No, you don't. However, I do know enough about you from just two posts. What I always find funny about die-hard Denners is they love bragging about brutal honesty. That they're these big, strong, intellectually robust guys w...

And that's because honesty is premised on the facts. Someone can be very sincere and truly believe every word they say, but if they're insisting that the Earth is flat contrary to all evidence presented then that person is very clearly not honest and is just talking out of their ass. Learn English,...

Thanks too fbmf. You're the real reason the Den has lasted this long. And I think this will be my last post here too. I just don't see the value anymore. I've moved on years ago, and I suspect most people I follow have too. That said, one last observation for any would-be designers, given this is or...

... A couple of things you're missing: 1. Frank is the _original_ Den Alpha Male by Ranting to begin with. And that kind of shit is in fact toxic which is why Frank also attacked and drove off his fair share of people. Koumei isn't wrong that Frank drove off CeilingCat, the thing is some people her...

Always interesting to hear other people’s wildly different perspectives. Weird to hear them with the tone that suggests an authority of factuality, but you do you. And whats interesting is that its always the ones who are least confident in the validity of their own views who always make a lot of h...

You people have the memories of fucking goldfish. Did y'all forget that blow-up in IMHO about coming up with acceptable reasons to kill orcs? How is THAT not political? Let's be real here: the TGDMB was never about not being political. IMHO always had a strongly left-liberal/social democratic bent ...

So trying Bumble at the recommendation of a random stranger on Whisper. Holy hell, single women my age both look old as hell and have the crazy eyes. Not sure I want to be matched with any of these people. Granted, I have not aged well either... Late but what the hell - I met my wife via online dat...

In MMORPGs, computers handle the rules seamlessly. In cooperative combat board games, the scope of the game is tight enough that the rules can be picked up quickly and playtested into better quality than a TTRPG. Descent and Mansions of Madness now have official mobile apps that run an AI for the e...
Re: Death
I'm needing to put my thoughts somewhere, and since there have been a few others who are going through something similar, I figured it was OK to put on the Den. Maybe they'd like to add to it. If it's inappropriate or too shitty... I'm sorry. --- I'm getting by. Sort of. My head isn't working right...

Nah. Constitutions are bullshit. That Americans keep pretending and posturing that their Constitution was some kind of democratic triumph is really a stark demonstration of how completely delusional most Americans are about their history and government; and why every attempt to transplant it elsewh...
