Aktariel's rev70 alpha PDF actually includes them. http://code.google.com/p/awesometome/downloads/list It's just the SRD combat chapters with the relevant bits replaced. But it's handy to have printed out.

I just prepared my turkey for tommorrow. Also, this thread pretty closely parallels a discssion (which devolved into whargaaarble) between my friends about if it was evil (DnD alignment) to use poisons. It's pretty hilarious.

wasn' blaming you for the derail, Leress, not to mention that it hadn't really gotten derailed yet. In any event, thinking a bit more on it, I think a 20 card deck comprised of unique cards is the way to go. I'll drop the hand size to 5 and make it so you burn two cards for each abilty. Throw in som...

I've looked at that sentence for about five minutes shadzar, and can't make any sense of it. You clearly didn't understand that it was easier to calculate to figure out 4/40 (since thats really 1/10) than 3/40. Don't try to cover for it by starting an argument and derailing the thread.

Maybe, I'm not sure. I did 4 per deck because its the Magic the Gathering maximum. Also because figuring the probability of getting one of four cards in a 40 card deck is easy.

Alright, so after trying to figure out a way to fix the "I sit here and cycle through my deck out of combat" problem. And as far as buffs go, you could have all active spells from cards be dismissed if you refresh your deck, that ones pretty simple. But as far as instantaneous spells... I'...

The Dealer [/size] "It's time to duel!" http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/6042/326898-1163272717_tureskaiba_large.jpg I saw a stray quote on this forum earlier today about someone playing a wizard in the style of a Yu-gi-oh character. Make a deck of spells, draw them, and play them. Pr...

Awesome, go ahead and send me that quantum, or better yet, is it in your branch of the repository? If it isn't, go ahead and add it there, or to that files pending inclusion folder.

I realize that you have them as outsiders. I was merley stating that making them a "Contruct (Living Construct)" would mesh better with standard D&D, instead of creating a new subtype that shares the same name as a type. Then, if you wanted the Modron sourced Warforged to be all outsid...

I'd say that, for consistency, they should probably get the construct type, along with the Living Construct subtype. The Modron Creation and Rogue Modron creation could then grant the ability to be considered an Outsider for the purposes of taking feats, classes, and using magic items. If we ever ge...

There's no rule in Monoply stating that I can't drop my pants, piss on the board, and declare myself the King of The Boardwalk. Just because no rule exists saying that you can't do something does not make it a legitimate way to interact with the game. The rules provide the boundaries for what you ca...

Relevant question for Hicks before we advance the plot. Does Heal affect Xaxus as a Harm spell because of his moil wrought background? If not, we could literally hustle all the way to the city, since the only negative effect of hustling for extended periods is becoming Fatigued and taking one point ...

Xaxus hops down from the wagon he is on, Rover and Grover in tow, and advances towards the northwest passage. Now's our chance to epedite our retreat!
Now that Xaxus is closer to the skeletons, he sees if he can spot the source of the desecration effect on it.

Hey! I formatted the Dread Necromancer LaTeX style the other day. Hopefully it'll make its way into Aktariel's Tome PDF. So on that note, I'll take Xaxus. Edit: But until then, have this Xaxus is Neutral Evil. The extra spell will be Entangle from the Druid list. If I interpret Body Assemblage right...

Yeah, I learned... well, I'm still learning, but I got a workable knowledge of LaTeX after just a few days of trying to do stuff and referring to guides for a few hours. Now I can make tables! And Chapters! And... other... stuff. But it looks nice when you get done.

There was an old cartoon, The Pirates of Dark Water . There was some evil shit in the water that would kill people in the water, and crawl up ships and whatnot and attack the crew. If you stole this idea and ditched the "crawling up boats" aspect, you could simply make it dangerous to be i...

Fixing D20 Modern Classes

Recently, me and a buddy of mine have been brainstorming ideas for fixing D20 modern. It had some neat ideas, but I think we can all agree that d20 modern as a whole was a failure that accomplished few of the things it set out to do well . So, the first thing on the chopping block is classes . D20 m...

You... Just described 4e? I mean, thats all they did really, made all the classes work on the same 'spell' system. And its boring.

If you simply want melee characters that have comparable damage and usability to the casters, check out the Frank and K material, its not perfect, but it's good.
