In the first phase, people scramble through piles of card to assemble their set-up in real time and then in the second phase people use their hastily cobbled together outfits to negotiate through an encounter deck in ...

Was really struck by how none of the characters have any backstory. They have a name and a job. A couple of them get quick establishing scenes to illu...

Humblebrag I guess: So for July, I have been attempting a monthly mileage challenge on Strava, with the goal of cycling at least 750 miles. So far I have been on pace to hit that number. The humbling part is how many people have logged more miles than me. I mean I figured pro-cyclists, wanna-be pros...

As much as would be tempted to turn this into gonzo satire on conspiracy theories, I'm just gonna ask some world-building questions: Is the world map basically the same countries we have in the real world? How long were the aliens in charge? What were the big strategic advantages that allowed them t...

So if you load up https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6 then click on USA in the left panel, and click on daily cases on the lower right graph, you'll get a pattern that looks like a stock market or google trends chart. Now, check the dates...
