Well, as per the Shadow miracle thing, the usual line is that if you're a sorcerer/wizard, adding the spell to your list counts as adding it to the sorcerer/wizard list. However, the more I put actual thought into it, the more I can't help but feel that there's something....off...about that logic. R...

[D&D 3.5] The Unconventional Wisdom of the Den

In my various searches and browsings of the den, I've come across places where things that are taken for truth on most other gaming forums are contested or disbelieved. An example of what I'm talking about is the notorious Pun-Pun, which is accepted almost without question on other boards, but many ...

So, basically it sounds like the system is worth reading through and trying to grasp (I'll see about wrapping my head around the step system). I'll start reading through the player's books when schoolwork permits, but in the meantime, any helpful other tidbits to keep in mind?

Earthdawn: Awesomesauce, utter dross, or something between?

I've recently been reading up on Earthdawn 3e, but so far all I've found is the usual stream of anecdotes from rpgnet about how much fun they've had with it and such, which is all well and good, but what I would like to know is, how is the system itself in quality? It came up in searches for systems...

Actually, from my reading it seemed more like that post was trying to say that that's what 3.X/Pathfinder try to do, and he/she says outright that they fail to do so.

Out of curiosity, when did you look at the system last. If it was back in the days of their 2e FFRPG, then it is plainly obvious why that one is terrible, nobody denies that (that I've ever seen). I made the mistake of not specifying, but my question was more in regards to the current 3e of the syst...

Returners FFRPG

I tried searching the forum, and only found a small mention within another thread about cheap labor, so here I am to ask: What is your opinion of the returnergames FFRPG system. If the two posts I saw are any indication, it's another system thought to be of poor quality, but those posts omitted the ...

I get the distinct feeling that ORC_Tao is just power tripping. Next time, I think i'll just post a flock of waa-waas.

Win. What Nonsince! ...Hey, maybe that'll get some memetic traction. Don't forget about Khan the Destroyer, though, guys. That guy's starting to show off a lot of fail himself. The infamous creator of pun-pun descending into fail now?! What's becoming of all these forums I used to enjoy frequenting?

The rash of fighter vs wizard threads is getting pretty stupid, especially the argument about Mind Blank vs Foresight.
