I honestly don't think it is possible to balance melee combat in SR4 and SR5. You could start play with the Super Katana that does infinite damage and I could not give less of a fuck because everyone even vaguely competent with assault weapons drops anything they attack in a single round. I think th...

Golden Sun was the only game in town when it came to RPGs you could put in your pocket for a long time, and it had a few time things to recommended it (Eg. the summon effects were impressive as all hell if you were used to gameboy). Then they waited long enough for people to get nostalgic or alterna...

I would say "yes," because in my experience everyone on a Shadowrun team is actually using the same gun, by which I mean whatever has the best damage. I think Ares Predator was the only pistol people used last time I played, but it has been a while.

@shau are you sure you meant carrie with the subplot? That's what I was thinking of. Damn movie remakes are putting ...

Raising Steam review

Reviewer’s Tilt: I have been a fan of Terry Pratchett since high school. I discovered his books in my local library and I was hooked and hooked hard. My library let you keep books out for five days. I would usually read a book from Pratchett twice in this time period. Then sometimes I would read my ...

This conversation I think is pretty much over and making me wonder why I even bother coming here anymore. I am out too, although the thought I broke DSMatticus faith in humanity by taking what he literally said literally will keep me warm at night. The thing is though, this whole thing really has v...

There is in fact a difference between "someone did something which caused me to be scared" and "someone did something with the specific intention of scaring me in order to influence my behavior" and that thing is the mens rea of terroristic threats. Also, in the specific case of...

I don't actually give a fuck whether or not Rebecca Watson was afraid, because "someone made me scared" will never be a successful argument that someone has wronged you. So if the KKK erects a burning cross on the lawn of a mixed race family, its not actually bad. After all, it nothing bu...

However the demons are extraordinarily tough, so they always come though without any major damage, no matter how awfully the plan goes sideways or however many people get killed in the ensuing disaster. You know, that actually sounds like Bebop and Rocksteady, if someone writing the turtles was gri...
