I can totally see how a few points of AC made the cleric to tough for the fighter to punch one on one. Whatever, don't care. Another thing that popped up is the favored weapon proficiency. I'm assuming this goes out the window if I didn't chose a deity to suck up to and instead just picked some rand...

Sadly, the Samsaran can only plunder lists of the same source, so a cleric can only really pick some spells from the druid and the half-assed casters, if I recall correctly. I'm going with Aasimar, that way I'll be able to use Eldritch Heritage, otherwise my stats will be too low. 15 point buy only ...

Unless you're doing some extremely specific cheese -- none of which come to mind -- there's no reason to be an Oracle over a cleric. Being behind a spellcaster level AND not automatically knowing every spell is not just a kick in the balls, it's a kick in the eye, nose, teeth, throat, gut, buttocks...

I once had a forum fight that was a 3.5 core fighter vs. a 3.5 core cleric, melee only. I seem to recall them being pissed at me using my domain spells to get improved invis. It wasn't remotely close. I won, by a lot. "Melee only" like "you are only allowed to punch me" with no ...

I only picked Sorcerer because another Player already picked Wizard. I'm not married to the idea. The drow is out, MC can't handle that race, sadface. Also the rest of the party has announced their classchoices and I noticed a severe lack of divine douchbaggery. So, what now? Might go cleric, will t...

I will try that question and see what shakes loose.

And I do not want to play a human, no matter how good that option is. I avoided that from post 1.

What is the general optimization level of the rest of the players? Unknown. Can go either way so I want something that can work on his own, but still be able to toss out some control/support if the rest is able to use it. If things go south I might switch to a master summoner and let the others car...

Already had Magical Lineage in mind. What is the second one? Let's see if this can make Fireballing the living crap out of dudes somewhat viable. While looking at possible Metamagic cost reduction options I stumbled over the Seeker Archetype, which ressurected the Ifret again. With the Robes of Arca...

2 traits, starting at level 1. The plan was to use the ifret favored class bonus to get slightly earlier access to bloodline powers and to trade his racial resistance for more initiative. Meh. Yeah, I think I will drop that idea. Doing some crazy Half Orc bullshit might actually be a good fallback p...

Yes, that helped, thanks. Was hoping I missed something in the first few levels, but I guess some extra HP or skill points aren't... completly ass. Also, I'm not going to touch Paragon Surge. It amuses me greatly, but that kind of douchbaggery only works if the MC is forced to follow RAW by threat o...

Sorcerous Pathfinder Advice needed

Yeah, I still can't figure shit out by myself. Sue me. So my last group crashed and burned, or rather kicked me out for doing nothing. That's what you get for using Color Spray and Sleep. No attack or damage rolls? What are you even doing here? Should have seen that coming after the Bard multiclasse...

It been a long time, but in 1st Edition some of the Critters give so few exp you will be suprised how one of them can fuck players up just by punching them. Gargoyles comes to mind. First few levels (circles?) Players tend to die like nobodies business, but form around level 4 or 5 you can do terrib...

Basically all of that looks good on paper, using the SR Ip in many different but related ways. Great. Who is doing it? Catalyst? Riiiight. None of that will be released this dacade anyway... and even if, who still thinks they can pull it of? This looks so bad like they just now realised how popular ...

Dumping on SR4 all the time (it desevers it, no question) makes people forget how shitty prior editions were. Nothing to add, really, Frank said it all. Go Rigger, or break the game later anyway you like. Just remember to get SmartLink2. Shooting people in the face for TN +0? Yes please! Shit was st...

Finally the monks becomes 'very powerful'!

It baffles me how people who ever played a monk can believe that, but they do. If the Monk moves his full speed and can't make his super awesome single attack (which will miss) he can Aid Another instead!

Or he can go fuck himself.

I don't even.

I don't know why I even care, I can play Pathfinder, or some other version of D&D. But seeing this shit makes me just sad. I doesn't even look like they are trying to do anything serious, just goofing around, massivly trolling whoever still cares. Who is holding the license anyway? Still Hasbro?...

Star Wars pretty much ignores all the problems technology might bring to the game so it might as well be reflavored fantasy. SciFi is a chore to do right with security, surveilance, communications, information gathering, social media for christs sake so I'm not surprised there are no good SciFi game...

GMs have to follow the rules so if the rules allow me to swap the colors of my surroundings he CANNOT disobey the rules. Not sure what kind of banana republic groups you have, but in soviet groups rules play you.

I want to avoid any cheese for now and I assume my party is from the "Fighters are Awesome and Fireball is best spell evar!" mindset, so I'll be pretty much on my own and want to do as much crowd control nonsense as possible so we manage to not get butchered by random goblins. I really lik...

I'll just hijack this thread for my questions, it's close enough. it seems like I found a Pathfinder group and I have snatched the wizard (planning to do conjuration spec) from possible evocers BUT i haven't really played since 3.5 so I'm not sure which schools to drop. Usually I'd go for evo and ab...
