Yep, the game is definitely a Shadowrun clone on a lighter chassis. It's purely focused on missions, for eg, something Cyberpunk 2020 wasnt' if I remember correctly. There is even a supplement for magic and metahumans on the way. And the german kickstarter is up: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...

Bear World? Is this Apocalypse World? LOL I really like the character sheets to these kind of games, but hate the "Bear" aspect of having to make up shizen constantly, as the game should be giving me outputs and rules I can run off of, else I don't need to buy a game that wants me to MTP i...

The Sprawl

Anyone here played this? From reading it, it looks a pretty neat take on Shadowrun. Though it seems to suffer from the same problem of a convoluted matrix sub -system.[/u]

I think the part about Dogs is a reference to it's themes, which seem apt. On the Mutant rules, I also don't find them great, but they seem to convey the themes of the game reasonably well, which is good enough for me. One thing I like in Mutant is how each class plays a role in the exploration aspe...

Aryxbez, there is an expansion for Mutant coming out called Mutant: Elysium that's about pure humans on an underground bunker-society on the brink of fall and opening up to the outside. The players are agents working for the dominating families with different agendas. Inter player conflicts and back...

I think Numenera is like this too. Though I don't have much familiarity with it.

Coming back from another session, one thing I like in the game is how it maps (in a easy manner) a relatioship web between your crew and the city's factions, and assures with each score you step over somebody's toes, generating a snowball of complications and entanglements. This would work wonders f...

So, I finished Bloodborne a few days ago. What ending you got? (On my first playthrough I got stuck on Ludwig because he is the most horrible boss in the entire game.) I see you didn't meet Orphan of Kos. In my first playthrough I went Skill/Endurance with the Threaded Cane, with a minor ...

You're right about Position, Harshax. I stand corrected. Though a failed Controlled Position roll allows for a new roll on a Risky one, so Position may influence on your chances, in this very specific case. And about the usage of skills, in practice we found out the GM ended up being the final adjud...

Hi there. Playing/Gming an ongoing game of Blades. It's a hella fun game. Will try to answer some questions based on my play experience. How do they do arms and armor, does it matter if you have a rapier vs an axe It depends. As Harshax explained, combat is a matter of Effect and Position. And those...
