Figured this would be the place to ask - I'm a big fan of JRPGs (particularly Final Fantasy 7 and 9), and wanted to know if there was anything more recent that resembles those games that people consider good. What platform they're on doesn't matter too much (there's always emulation). All suggestion...

[Dom4] Advice for LA Mictlan

I've been trying to branch out with new nations and doing new things, and decided to give LA Mictlan a spin. Needless to say, I've had absolutely no luck with these guys. My sacreds seem to drop rather fast to javelins of all things, and my mages confuse the hell out of me. LA Mictlan also seems rea...

I like HoN's power level more, I'm not a fan of Steam as a client, the aesthetics of DotA2 don't appeal to me, and there's too much grognard appeasement in DotA2. Plus, my friends play HoN.

I play HoN pretty regularly. The reports of its death continue to be greatly exaggerated.

Do the changes to the requirements for a lot of the path boosting items (particularly the +2 to the Rings) mess up any of the standard bootstrapping paths? Death in particular seems to be a lot harder to get into from a single D2 now that the Skullface is D5 and Ring of Sorcery is S7. Death now nee...

So, after struggling with clinical depression since my early childhood, I finally sought medical treatment after it started interfering with my schoolwork, and I think it's working so far. I'm thinking far less about suicide, feel much happer, and my anxiety has become much better. My one problem i...

Has anyone here tried Mansions of Madness? I actually think it's one of the best games I've played in a while (although one mission is a horrible grind-fest with a very weird and counter-intuitive way to play it). It is easy to learn, has a range of strategies and seems pretty balanced mechanically.

I'm 25 (soon to be 26), and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I'm a graduate student (Master's in Computer Science is what I'm working on at the moment, although I'm likely switching over to Mathematical Sciences instead) at a two-bit university that none of you have likely ever heard of. Still live ...

Made some changes to the Cock Master. Will make the Planar Chicken soon, and will link to it as soon as it's up. Hicks - does this version of Cock-Puncher allay your (totally-justified) balance concerns?

Hicks: Sorry for making you type that on the phone. Would making a maximum of 1 round delay fix these issues?

On referencing Slavic folklore - hellz yeah! Definitely gonna do that.

On delayed chicken blast being broken - why? It's just 1d6/level in a 10ft radius off something that can easily be shot with any missile weapon before it gets there.

Goddamn it Frank, I thought I was being original with the 'cock = chicken' idea. How the hell do you write so damn fast?

[Tome of Cocks] Cock Master

This thread made me do it - I swear! Cock Master "I was referring to my specialization with the powers of chickens - but I like what you're thinking!" There are those who wish to command the mighty and powerful forces of the elements, calling down the very representations of fire, water a...

The author of that book is a complete shit, for the record. Sure, there'll be a Tome of Cocks. I'll start on it tomorrow. It will be full of childish jokes and stupidity, as might be expected. I feel really sorry for our OP. Are you interested in submissions/assistance? I have a few ideas I could d...

Please Koumei, your talents are needed elsewhere. Mister Sinster, your desires already exist here . Except let's be honest, Koumei would do it better, for two reasons: 1) Her design work is of a superior quality to most published material 2) When it comes to sexual innuendo (or sexual endo ), I tru...

The book that "brought" us Pun-Pun was Serpent Kingdoms. In the same way that you could argue that eating celery "brings" you obesity, mind you.

[Dom3]Guide to communions - help/critique sought

Hai again folks. I've recently started playing Dom3 again after an extended (and uni-enforced) absence, and remembered this guide that I started, but never finished. I'll post it here for people to look over/critique/yell at me. Please give me all the constructive criticism you can - I want this to ...
