One I quite like was from [Tome] about a land rebuilding after the Undead won: https://dndwiki.org/wiki/Races_of_War_(3.5e_Sourcebook)/A_World_at_War#Triumph_of_the_Necromancers:_Endless_Night (copy + Paste the link, or highlight "Go to" should work) I took from that idea, of having "...

OgreBattle So RPG Bundles are a thing, and I've been enjoying Bundles of Holding site, currently have a RIFTS Bundle , I was wondering if it was worthwhile to buy? I've never read RIFTS, so don't know how many supplements there are, or even the books that are worth getting to read (but never played...

I know we've spoken of sales about 5e already, its speculation as well. If Mearls was fired or otherwise left for greener pastures, what would even happen to WoTC, to D&D at this point?

If Mearls and all his associates were fired, I assume that would be the end of the "D&D Team", and they'd just can the IP for years to come?

A)I quite liked some of the Monsters in 4E, like souran said, having their abilities front & center without having to read spell entries that I don't feel captured their flavor on an initial read. The Monsters were improved overall for the brute-like creatures that didn't have much/any plot powe...

I read the book a long damn time ago and can't remember what was good or bad about it other than it was really crunchy. Since it's been over a year, mind telling us how your game went? Wish I could, but it was a classic case of a campaign that never got off the ground on the DM's end, so I never go...

I would not actually advise running Tome, as it's kinda a mess. Several of the specific rules are good, but then you see the Fighter, Feats, Book of Gears being written by five different non-communicating authors, etc. Don't do it. It's not worth it. Very much worth the lesson in Player Empowerment...

So Game of Bones is looking like it'll be a real thing I and few friends of mine will be playing soon. Character Creation-wise, what all goes into making a Necromancer, what race/traits/background/MagicalItems/ and so on should be taken for the character specifically? I'm aware of Raise Dead & M...

You prepare Animate Dead in all your slots. When you get a 4th level spell slot, you cast it as a 3rd level spell and as a 4th level spell. And you do this every day to continue controlling your army every day or replacing fallen soldiers with new ones. Because bounded accuracy assures us that havi...

Did Animate Dead spell get errata'd to be Concentration at all? My more pertinent question however, given Spell's Description , how do you maintain having 100 or more Skeletons at 11th level, or even the 24 you have at 6th? (Numbers claimed according to this ) As I imagine if you can't maintain cont...

It would be nice to have Street Sams be more like Diablo 2 Barbarians, that is, moving in fast and hitting a bunch of foes with their attacks. Which, to save on table time, you really could just put that into one attack roll, likely with an associated penalty to represent the difficulty of hitting a...

It could be simple. Each side rolls their dice pool. Matches cancel each other out. Dice that remain are successes. It almost seems like it's predetermined even in that situation though as to who has the higher dice pool. That sounds like a problem, especially if we want to represent the party figh...

Also I can't take credit for the system since Frank literally pulled the core idea out of his ass while commenting on TEOTW. True, but you can totally still design the game with a thanks or props to him in mind, even if you're a making shoddy profit from it (if at all). Regardless, thanks again Fra...

I completed the Survey. Until this survey in fact, I've never even heard of the idea of hiring someone to GM a game for you. Though it makes sense honestly, getting paid means they can't be gygaxian @$$holes (unless its style offered) without the likelihood of losing out on future "clients"...
