Thanks for the feedback guys. JE: Thanks, I'll be using the Tomes and lots of homebrew for my campaign. Thanks for the tip on Red Rob's stuff, I'll be using that. Kaelik: I've decided to use RHoD, I've already started setting everything up in Roll20. I'm using Photoshop to resize and refine the maps...

Trying to run a good DnD campaign. Need help.
I'm trying to get a game started with a group of my friends that are decently experienced with 3.5 and pathfinder, and I wanted to run a fun and easy campaign starting at level 5, probably running through level 10-12. It's my first time DMing. Whats the most ideal system out there right now for DnD/...

So, I'm trying to get my campaign on the road, and I wanted this system to be functional, but i can't seem to be satisfied with any of my feat designs. I was hoping you guys had some insight. Theres a few problems: I'm finding it conceptually difficult to come up with feats that are not numeric bonu...

I've been putting some work into this system here and there. In my campaign, I will be using the Races of War combat rules, so many feats are based around that, and mention The Edge. You gain 1 feat per level. You must pick a feat that is appropriate for that level, and each time you level you may r...

Been doing a lot of consideration on this. And alot of the stuff I said earlier was stupid, but I'm sorta just thinking out loud. I think feats should definitely be split into tiers by level. I think the best split is 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20. This solves a few problems: 1) Its better than Prere...

Yeah, good point. For fun, heres a list of Metamagic feats courtesy of Wizards and Kaelik. Metamagic Feats: Enlarge Spell [Metamagic]: You can alter a spell with a range of close, medium, or long to increase its range by 100%. This increases the ML by +1. Widen Spell [Metamagic]: You can alter a bur...

One Feat Per Level: An Open Discussion
Alright guys! I used to run a tome campaign back in the day using the scaling feats, and I'm putting together a "Tome" campaign for my playgroup that is currently playing pathfinder (someone else is currently DMing). But, I'm having trouble coming up with a good feat per level list for my ...

Maybe Oracle curses can work?

To clarify, I mean tying the drawback directly to each ability you make a pact for.
