Re: Painting Small and Expensive Plastic People

It being the 80s, I'm not sure that the pose wasn't intentional :D

Great paint job btw - I'm enjoying living vicariously through seeing what you've painted / diarama'd

Re: Minion power transfer I guess? NO PHONELOBSTER

Regarding which games empower minions? Well, Clerics and Paladins have been around since forever, and these miracle men go around creating converts to feed their deity. This is the direction my mind took when reading the initial post about powerful beings bestowing abilities on underlings. Dark Sun...

Re: Watch Ghostbusters: Afterlife

I feel like it's a crime that the first two movies laid a groundwork for a setting that indisputably has real ghosts, magic, portals to other realms, maleficent beings... and you can fight them with nuclear powered energy weapons or animated giant mecha statues... and the possible repercussions and...

Unholy/Dark/Negative (Corrupting?)
Chaos (also radiation damage?)
I'd say chaos damage IS radiation, which is corrupting (unless you mean unholy damage is like ethically corrupting or something).

Re: Original Fantasy Story (Partially Den-Inspired)

I just realized I hadn't checked on this in awhile - is there any hope of more story? It's alot of fun so far, I would love to hear more - enough so that I'd be willing to kick a few bucks in to make it happen... My only input, aside from that I'm really interested to hear more of the story, is more...

More Vulcan logic, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. Cruz fucked that up as a Vulcan.

I'm now eagerly anticipating what dead's wife (a historian!) thinks about this

I mean, what's funny is that it's not even surprising that someone ANYONE with the money to go someplace sunny wouldn't do that, but it's all about optics. Obviously most people can't do that, but unlike meeting with defense attorneys, there isn't anything unethical about taking a vacation, even (m...

But nobody LIKES Kaelik, and he doesn't coordinate 'a brigade'. I don't disagree that Kaelik is an example of 'garbage people'. He is the one and only person I have on permanent ignore and that's exactly the reason. Kaelik is fine. He seems to be kinda bad at diplomatically taking shit from people,...

I've seen a lot of mockery of the 'learning Norse' scene as obviously fatuous, but my Mother has learned like six languages by immersion and she says it's incredibly accurate to her experience. Who mocks that scene? It's like the gold-standard for a movie where characters speak a language other tha...

This is probably a thing. I can't remember the last time I gamed in person, and that's not just because I have a poor memory, it was definitely several years ago Dare I say it, that the average Denner starts off non-young, and gets older as the years go by. I gamed a shit-ton in my youth, but now.....

I honestly had no clue Frank left until it was mentioned in this thread. And honestly, good goddamned riddance. There's some real "pot, kettle" bullshit in his departure announcement. I mean, is there really? The last time I remember Frank basically calling someone a rape apologist it was...

The books that the Expanse is based off of were crap. When I read the first one, my first instinct was that was written specifically as TV-rights or movie-rights bait with a lot of action-heavy sections and low character development, perfect for conversion to a script. Whaaaaaaaaaaa ? I really like...

Barely if any mentions of the prequel trilogy. I know there's been alot of unhappiness about how the prequels and originals were supposedly Anakin's story but there's not one mention of him* in the sequels.

The Siege, 1998. Not a particularly amazing movie, but oh so prescient and relevant to this timeline. And it has Aasif Mandvi.

While we are living in 2007 I'll add that everyone should have magic. Everyone's a wizard. All I heard was "Earthdawn" Just go Final Fantasy VII, everyone is a fighter but they also have Materia slots. Yeah true - JRPGs in general seem to do a good job of lessening/eliminating this problem.
