...and I suddenly have a use for my Christmas lights.
I imagine they're less comfortable than silk ropes though and you'd want to be a bit careful about the bulbs you choose. To the hardware store!

So is wikileaks done now? I'm guessing that a fairly sizeable portion of their supporters are left-leaning Bernie-ish voters who rather dislike the idea of being Russia's mouthpiece. I find it hard to believe that their libertarian supporters are going to stump up the difference, rather than continu...

It seems to me that a resonably obvious compromise is to have "archtypes" or "flavours" Your primary race, then with added minor change takes a lizardman to a draconian, or a halfling to a gnome, or elf to drow, etc. More than just the hil dwarf/mountain dwarf of previous edition...

My kids has a Dell Inspiron 3000 series 11'' which does the job. It survives all the crap he does to it, anyway. I'm happy enough that I'd buy another one. If I was getting one for myself, I'd probably go a mac laptop of some sort. Accepting they're not good value for money, the hardware itself seem...

There are also the crossover stores, I'm thinking mainly JB Hifi, but also Hardly Normal which will do the preorder thing. JB used to (still does?) the "pre-owned" games. But do people still actually buy games in Australia? There are so many OS options that it seems pretty silly to pay the...

This is a dumb argument. The reason why is that you're applying your own understanding of someone's scriptures and then saying that everyone from religion X must believe it this way because I think that's what it says. for instance; The argument about Sheol in the OT very much ignores that Israelite...

The writing's awesome, but I gave up after the grind started to take its toll.
Doing the same action again and again loses its luster quickly.

I'd consider running something along the lines of the "Keys to the Kingdom" series with this. A conflict within the house occasionally spilling out into the secondary realms.

The thought of problem 2 being an issue is a bit jarring. Isn't it a standard algorithm? Maybe I'm too old and crusty for this stuff.

I want to put a caveat in that critique matters. Criticism from others is more important than self criticism, because we have our own paradigms we might not be able to break. But I've seen too many people be prolific without any improvement because they fail to see any improvements to be made.

I've heard the Tetori is not bad at what it does. And Quingong can replace your normal Ki abilities with better SLAs. Also, once you get enough magic items, Monks become pretty decent (for non-casters). In Kingmaker, for example (significantly above WBL), the Monk was doing quite nicely. That's not...

I've played in a fair few OSR games and every one has had material components tracked to one extent or another. Some of the original components were bizarre enough to force a "Am I carrying enough live goldfish to cast identify?" minigame.

Trump is amazingly narcissistic and shockingly incurious. He doesn't read things and doesn't investigate important issues that he does not understand. He surrounds himself with yes men and has adulatory rallies of people chanting his name. ... The Trump reality only contains facts where Trump is aw...

The obvious solution is to ask the doc if she says no.
Having gone cold turkey (admittedly, my meds were the lowest possible dose already) it's not a fun experience in many ways and screwed me up much more (for about a week) than anything I'd previously experienced.

The majority of the work there is being done by the core (abs, back, etc.) and legs. When I played rugby the guys who got the work done were those with massive cores. Everyone wants the big pecs/biceps, but it's not as useful for the throwing people around as you'd expect. So you probably want to co...

I think you could compare a MOBA to a fast levelling convention game. Perhaps not D&D. In most games you're going to want characters who are good at *this*, but not *that*. face vs. bruiser, diplomancer vs. thief, etc. I could envision a game where your characters are good at that *time* but not...

BECMI has "Top Ballista" a somewhat comic take on a cloud city, but it includes all the normal classes, setting and monster information that you'd expect. There are also rules for building and flying airships which I haven't looked at in detail. I expect they're the usual clown fiesta that...

With memorial diamonds and any other process to turn organics into carbon; be it graphite, diamond, etc. you first need to extract the carbon. Because the carbon in people is contained in organic compounds including hydrogen and oxygen and other elements, merely compressing someone won't work. It wi...
