They've got a DMs Guild program, in partnership with OneBookShelf, that has some... fun provisions. It's not terribly easy to find, either, so here's a Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/zu002y6m . It's pretty much what you'd expect, and a lot of it is (unfortunately) industry standard. Some of my f...

This will be changing in the second edition of the game. I'm running dice simulations now that take in to account rational use of Drama Points, ought to be less terrible.

Atomic Highway is a game that purports to do what you're looking for. I've never played it, but it's free. From what I've read I don't think I'd recommend it, but there you go.

Ever notice that the people who come in here trying to whip shit up as "trolls" seem like folks who've spent an hour or so reading Encyclopaedia Dramatica and decided to dive in? Clutch, Tarwhoever, *zar, lurk moar, guys.

Probably because no one had called shenanigans on what was going on until the Wildfire guys got sick of not being paid, at which point all hell seems to have broken loose. It's easier to chime in than to be the first to raise his voice. There seem to be a lot of people that want to make this into a...

Every swinging johnson that worked at that place knew something wasn't right. I wonder why they didn't speak up until just before the license was due to expire? Probably because no one had called shenanigans on what was going on until the Wildfire guys got sick of not being paid, at which point all...

Looks like Topps will be extending the license... http://catalystgamelabs.com/2010/06/14/ ... -imminent/

I'm honestly surprised. I guess Topps doesn't see IMR as in such dire straits?

EDIT: Beaten to the punch!

Nope, not true. So is the 'rnb' quote not true? About him getting printer proofs today? No idea. But I was still with the company in February, and that flurry of products all went to the same printer, and proofs were dealt with when I was still there. Proofs take roughly anywhere from a day to a co...

In light of current evidence, I'm going to retract my earlier statements about DSG - if he wasn't in charge of the checks, he couldn't have contributed to the problem.

I wholeheartedly agree. The moral absolutist you're looking to excoriate is Fuchs, who's happy to demonize anyone who "sticks with" IMR, even if its in their economic best interests to do so. I don't care for RB, but at least what he's doing is rational. JMH's continued faith in managemen...

We've been over this. DSG and RB are both indefensible fools. DSH was involved in day to day operations for years , knew that people weren't getting paid, knew the books were shot, and only walked away when he couldn't use the weakness that resulted from the financial irregularities to take over th...

So Frankie I was thinking you seem a bit too weaselly in your predictions. You say that the new CGL stuff is vaporware. How about a little wager?? If CGL prints a new book this year you stop posting anything about CGL. If they don't I don't post anything at all. Up for that?? We can set the date at...

If we assume, for a brief moment, that AH honestly thinks he's been ripped off, then I think it makes absolute sense for him to be pissed about this. Clutch is trying to say that since AH has given away his work, that a publisher wouldn't buy it from him in the future. ... Didn't "stripping" books used to be a big deal? I mean, they were supposed to have the front cover ripped off when they were sent back after not having sold? For some reason that rings a bell. Yup - but those were usually mass-market paperbacks meant to be pulped, not RPG books. Anywa...
