Why would you assume that the first release will be an RPG instead of a grand strategy game where you control one of the Vampire clans, and try to rule the night?

I was linked to this one which is apparently in the book: (Worksafe, but with horrifying >implications ) http://media.wizards.com/images/magic/daily/features/feature159_olivia.jpg So they first drew it with a bent knee, obviously, in a sort of leaping pose. Then someone saw it and went "Oh shi...

If you're concerned about Reanimate getting aggressive early, just ban " Reanimate , Show and Tell , and other cheap cards that put expensive things into play without paying for them." A turn-5 Autochthon Wurm off token-makers, or a turn-4 Bringer off a single mana dork or Rampant Growth ,...

I really don't get rules 3, 4, and 6. If all you want is to get people to attack, I'd go with something like this: At the end of each of your combat phases, if you attacked with at least one creature this combat phase, scry X, then draw a card, where X is the number of creatures that attacked this c...

"When" is a special word in Magic, but "if" is not.

Since Abundance does not use “when”, “whenever”, or “at [some time]”, it is not a triggered ability.

There is precedent for special words. For example, "target": Because Council's Judgement does not use the word target, it can exile something with hexproof or protection from white, while Banishing Light can't, because it does use the word target. http://i.imgur.com/kcenbBim.jpg http://i.i...

So this means that part of Star Wars 1 where Luke and Han dress up as Storm Troopers and show up with Chewie in cuffs to avoid fighting? Doesn't happen. I dunno, that seems to fall under anticipating what the encounter is and applying modifiers to make combat music not start. Why yes. Sounds like w...

The whole "when cast" nomenclature clusterfuck is all over BfZ. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=401857&type=card It doesn't do that when it comes into play if it was cast from your hand, it does that "when cast." Leading a lot of people to assume...

Another speed rating comparison: Recumbent Bicycle Cavalry: about 100 hexes a day.

(Based on the RAAM having been done in 5 days)

EDIT: Wait, wrong page. This is the one that says 5 days: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle_performance

So I guess Skeletons are the best non-flying troops for an Evil Empire, then? High mobility means that an army composed of skeletons can chose its battles and force the opposing side on the defensive. Though that "infinite" speed Lantern Archon is kind of worrying - it seems that distance...
