[Build Advice] Tome Gestalt Soulborn/Sorcerer

Playing a level 4 Gestalt game with Tome material. Other guy is a Kineticist||Rogue and I'm a Soulborn||Sorcerer. Using the bloodline sorcerer proposed by Frank on the pazio forums . Using the Infernal Sorcerer with seeing in the dark, and Necrocarnum soulmelds, I can not instantly destroy the steal...

Well then just disallow True Resurrection (or any other "resurrect without level loss"), and eventually they'll stay good and dead. Probably.

How much do the stat mods and crap make up for out of that missing 32 points? Maybe 15?

So then,
Close: 30ft (matches sneak attack)
Medium: 150ft (5 sling ranges?)
Long: 500ft (5 longbow ranges)

Well, does the same argument apply to ranges? Should "Close" always be exactly 30ft or something like that?

Fire Domain's "Resist Energy" should be able to resist both Fire or Cold damage. Classic move for the fire type guys to fill themselves with fire until cold doesn't bother them.

Well the games mostly treat pokemon as just a monster thing that does stuff, but in the show, the pokemon are pretty definitely "people" even though they're not human. They're self aware, have the full range of emotions, and get full episodes devoted to them. But then you enslave them anyw...

The idea is solid, it's just that you have to adjust every monster entry by hand to make it line up, so it's a whole lot of work.

Either way, if you wrote the spell yourself, I like the part about being CR based instead of HD based. More spells should be like that.

Or... that HD==CR project should be revived. Either way.

But then shouldn't it be some other version of the spell... that's... you know... not a mind affecting illusion? Or do they just think that they're blinded by fire a word you said?

Symbol of Death? Word of Blinding? In what way are those fire associated? I could see the symbol being a "you're incinerated instantly" maybe, but I don't get the Blinding.

Most of the type system's "balance" also relies on specifically being in the games, because it factors into things like when you should and shouldn't switch, and also helps adjust things like not all pokemon having an equal number of base stats (many of the the stronger ones have weird typ...

No fireball? *checks* Oh, that's bullshit. New rules: Fire Domain Granted Power: Turn or destroy water creatures as a good cleric turns undead. Rebuke, command, or bolster fire creatures as an evil cleric rebukes undead. Use these abilities a total number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma ...

I've got two thoughts: 1) Making them combat feats bones anyone without full BAB, which is not at all cool for Rogues or Sorcerers or whoever, which it why I was just gonna tie it to HD directly. 2) My improvement, which I might not have made clear, was that at 6HD you can add a Minor Power to your ...

I completely spaced out on that. That's the obvious thing to scale up (since Tome loves scaling feats). At 6HD you can add a Minor ability, a 11HD you can add a Moderate ability, and at 16HD you add a major ability? Assuming that your group has created a big "list of magic item abilities" ...

[Tome] Feats to fill Item Slots?

I think it's been mentioned once or twice that you could just have feats fill up a character's 8 magic item slots if you really wanted to. Has anyone bothered to write up what exactly those feats would look like? Item Slot Feats These feats allow you to fill your Continual Magic Item slots with an e...

It sounds like BRRPG took a lot from that version.

Suggestions:
[*]Swap the Fighter and Cleric XP charts.
[*]Give fighters more HP in some major way.
[*]Give out bonus attacks way sooner.
[*]Don't worry about it.
