Well, yeah. Have you seen the new HoS necromancer? It's "dark fire, dark fire, dark fire, get 1 skeleton, dark fire, dark fire, dark fire, and more dark fire". Maybe some minion undead too. Because when I think "necromancer", I think "dark fire." "dark fire"?...

The Book of Vile Darkness has been added to the product catalog. For 4E? This ought to be good. Although, while it will likely be boring, I suppose it won't have any infinite Strength cancer mages running around. From the catalog description is sounds like a DM resource book, rather than a player o...

I noticed that some posters on the WotC forums have a little beholder icon that indicates that they are official play testers.

Inflation is when the buying power of money decreases.

Basically it is when you have to pay more to buy the same things.

You both cannot use aid another on use magic device checks nor take 10.

[edit]Will you can take 10 at level 13 and higher do to a class feature, but your build is level 1.

Okay, the point you are missing is that you can't have a fight against minions in a sandstorm that slowly damages everyone, which is totally a scenario that is fun, interesting, and used. You know a question has been bothering me for a while. What exactly are the rules for a sandstorm in 4E? I look...

fixing equipement list

As it has been brought up, rules for creating/customizing monsters is in the Dungeon Master's Guide. The rule for new powers are basically rip off another power, but a damage table (monster damage has been errata'd) exists as well. Additionally I'm not aware of any splat book for this, except for th...

I find it absolutely hilarious how 4E defenders keep circling around the Kobold Slinger - which I already said is a bad example - when in fact the main concern is that magic items used by monsters tend to stop working. Which I'd already proved anyway You have not proved that monster items quit work...

Zinegata already said that. In the bit you just quoted. he went on to explain why it was still a relevent example. Why is that bad again? It's not a relevant example because it is backed with a appeal to consequences. It's not that a legitimate complain that gluepots break the game if looted doesn'...

Fine, not the Slinger, bad example. In practical terms though, you can't loot the Slinger's ammo because it breaks the system. You can now add an immobilization effect that only ends on a save to any ranged weapon ability using a sling. Seriously, that's why people in Enworld ask other peeps whethe...

Zinegata wrote:Check the Kobold Slinger example - you can't loot their special ammo off of them. And that ammo isn't magical.
And you cannot why?
Also, I don't recall stat adjustments for magic weapons in the original MM.
It is in the Dungeon Master's Guide.

That's not the case in 4E. The monster's corpse and weapons literally disappear the moment you kill them, instead leaving behind a "package" that's supposed to be tailor-fit for the party. Actually many monsters get non-magical equipment and I cannot find any rules that they disappear whe...

The cactus harpooned your character, reeled them in, and then sucked their blood. That's about all I remember about that monster.
