Maybe get each player to come up with a different method, so one person's rolling Manipulation + Leadership to run their online support group, another's using Wits + Expression to write poetry, etc., then come up with some minor obstacle to be overcome when they've accumulated enough successes to re...

Secaucus - Magic of the ocean, storms, madness and dreams. Gets waterbending and airbending along with some mind affecting, dream travel and sending effects. Hackensack - Fire, metal and intellect. Mostly just blasting and forge magic so far. (Incidentally, I'd appreciate advice on names for these ...

On the one hand, you're a 3/4 BAB class with your only attack bonus as things like a riven hourglass counter giving you a reroll as a swift action. You're sure you're OK missing a lot? On the other, an extra swift/immediate action every round is just incredible. Possibly brokenly good IMO, with all ...

On the 'why is the Mafia such a big thing?', in the early 80s the Sicilian Mafia was at 'war' with the Italian state, assassinating judges and police chiefs who didn't knuckle under. It didn't end well for the Mafia but it likely made an impression on people who remembered reading about that for yea...

I did sort of the reverse of this once. Using something based off PF's automatic bonus progression optional rule, the enhancement bonus of weapons & armour was based off the character level (that's just how awesome you are) and they could use weapons/armour special abilities with a bonus equal t...

The people who like CRPG on the tabletop, no powers which can affect plot, are pretty well catered for. There's no real point trying to make a game for them because then you're going against well-established games with bigger art budgets than you can afford.

The Haber-Bosch process for fixing nitrogen into ammonia (which could then be converted into nitrates for explosives, fertiliser etc.) earned Fritz Haber the Nobel prize in 1918 . In case any of you were wondering - Tussock is still wrong. In Eberron there isn't a series of written adventures where ...

I've never heard of SIGMATA, a review of that would tell me more than some of those others. Red Hand of Doom would be my second choice.

I have actually seen someone play a snow elf. Probably because despite the terribad illustrations in this book it's not hard to imagine a sexy snow elf adventurer. The rest...never.

Probably doable Stahlseele? It'll likely take a bunch of forms and a long wait, but the government doesn't actually want to be seen as thieves.

An earldom doesn't sound like it'd be a large area. Intended? Possible reasons for the condition to be available - maybe there's a prophecy that the Earldom will last as long as the spring flows, or similar. Or maybe the condition is something like being submerged in the deepest well in the earldom;...

In actual play though whatever extreme minority the players or MC are interested in is likely to have more than one member, right? Those other extreme minorities can be extinct or living in France or whatever, and there just happen to be three of your particular sect in your game's Chicago.

I suppose it would avoid attacks of opportunity (which can trigger off the concentrate tag) if the witch were within melee range of an enemy who had the AoO ability, and the witch didn't cast a spell that round or do anything else that could trigger an AoO, just sustained one via cackle. A fairly mi...

A believable altitude ceiling rather than one obviously included for convenience (IIRC D&D 4e had a maximum altitude of 20 squares, and characters couldn't stop above or below others - thus disallowing bombing without a power) doesn't sound like a terrible idea.

If they're not accepting the obvious argument (that you can't do anything not specified in Gloomhaven's heavily prescribed ruleset) you may just have to show them by doing.

BTW, Eldritch Horror is an improvement on Arkham Horror as a boardgame.

They don't need to ban their critics these days. The true believers will shout them down. 'Follow the leader' is a natural tendency which you see less of on the Den than paizo.com - there's more contrary people here - but which still is visible sometimes. Paizo's happy to encourage that tendency rat...

The +2 AC is vs. one attack/round only so hardly tanky from that. Boringly mediocre, remember? They can use a shield though, with their light armor and presumably a dex-focus they probably are slightly harder to hit than average.

The investigator looking into mysteries in its fluff is nothing to do with the oracle mechanic of mysteries. Just a coincidence of names. Class balance is not a problem of PF2. They're all boringly mediocre. Looking at these 4 classes; the investigator has a mechanic where it can do some things once...

Reality falling short of the ads is an old story. People & companies have got away with it before, to put it mildly.

That's not saying this imagined youtube demo/show would be any kind of silver bullet though. It could hardly have the reach of Stranger Things, and it'd be easy to do it badly.

There are places in NZ where soldiers were granted land to settle on & farm in order to thoroughly claim that land back in the 19th C. Opotiki for example; a friend's wife comes from there. Manpower - troops is not necessarily a one-way street.
