Muv Luv's Alternative is basically this scenario, aliens known as the BETA have invaded earth and they field laser-shooting air defence units that can intercept artillery bombardments, missiles and aircraft. They prioritize air targets so they can be neutralized by ground forces but since BETA tend ...

Hmm. I remember this bit of text pretty well. But then people remember Sinbad being in a genie movie, so that proves nothing. Weren't Hantei's siblings trapped in Rokugan by world jealousy? No? IIRC world jealousy was a thing; the Kami lost their divinity because they landed on Ningen-do, and Fu-Le...

Just being a troll with maxed strengh gets you 11dv. +4 from mucle augmentation and drugs. +3 from bone density. +2 from striking calluses. +1 from critical strike. EDIT: if you mean SR4, then be a troll with max strength, and buy up Critical Strike and all martial arts that give +1DV. I think boxi...

SR4 and SR5 devs had a severe overestimation of how good melee actually is. In both SR4 and SR5 melee attack is a simple action, which means fewer attacks in SR4 and shitty action economy in SR5. For example in SR5 you can't move and do a called shot punch to the groin. You don't have enough action...

In Asia specifically I wonder if Capcom's Magic User in Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara would be better known than the novel characters. http://images.onesite.com/capcom-unity.com/user/frpgames/fb422dbb33f56a8d92a289addac22447.jpg?v=249264 I actually encountered the D&D SoM magic users be...

I just finished Doom 2016, and I'm wondering what's the best way for a DMF to heal himself after killing an opponent. I've found a couple of ways, like: - Greater Daemon Totem (5 hp when you kill an intelligent opponent with at least half your HD) - Feast of Blood (need to rip out your opponent's gu...

So basically the route to Real Ultimate Power in Birthright is to fuck your twin sister and take turns murdering the offspring with an elf weapon until you have super godlike ultra bloodline. Right?

Are Guardian spirits supposed to be like Servants from the Fate universe? You know, you could have a Animu tradition that summons Saiba and Acha and whatnot. Are Guardian spirits supposed to be like Servants from the Fate universe? They're human-looking combat powerhouses who are shadows of ancient heroes which can go ethereal and protect their squishy little magus buddies from other pokeheroes and their masters.

There's a series of books called the Virtual Reality Adventures; they don't use dice, they just check to see if you have certain abilities and codewords and the adventure proceeds from there. I've run one of those here: http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=55626 I probably will run another in the f...
