They've been going into those worked shoot things a bit lately, like with "Brock Lesnar is absolutely leaving us to go back to UFC again" and that thing where Owens and Zayn were allegedly in trouble backstage but that was just being worked into their anti-authority story angle. It's like...

Yeah, they're censoring and snooping on Skype as part of efforts to stop sex trafficking. Also, they don't have a fucking clue what sex trafficking is. I would think that cam whoring is almost by definition not sex trafficking because you don't go anywhere. -Username17 Lure someone to a foreign cou...

Joey Janela's Spring Break continues to be the must-see event of Mania weekend if you like crazy shit. Jean-Pierre Lafitte of the Quebecers worked a legit 4+ snowflake match with WALTER, which ended with Lafitte's chest blackened from chops and a chop exchange handshake. There were also many, many m...

You know, Dungeons look like natural counters to mongol archer tactics. In a world filled with elves and their composite longbows, manticores and Dragons , it may make a lot of sense to live in places with low ceilings and lots of LoS breaking walls. That's pretty much why modern militaries started...

That still relies on the class and level determining which tier of challenges the character needs to be able to hit (level) and provides a certain subset of abilities that hit those core competencies while creating differentiation between characters (class). It's useful to have the information chunk...

I never really hewed to the "other races must be super different" thing, since they all need to be sapient bipedal humanoids (or able to manipulate things as a sapient bipedal humanoid can) anyway. Feels like extra makeup on a rubber forehead alien to me. Why? Sapient, sure, but that does...

As the DM, why do you want the level and class combination to tell you something reliable about the character? Because then you can make an informed call on the challenges to put forth to that character instead of winging it. Getting to know your players is nice and all, but what if a PC gets dropp...

But wait, the character with high learned intelligence (I do SCIENCE at it) and the character with high intuitive intelligence (don't stick your dick in acid) tend to be separate things. It's the basic book smarts/street smarts divide. It's also why AS and SR split into Logic/Intuition/Charisma. I'v...

TAKA Michinoku is an amazing hypeman. The post-match mic fight between him and Gedo was better than the ZSJ/Tana match, and that match was great.

Slade is right about the Pathfinder Item Mastery feats existing, covering the flavor/mechanics part of what the new guy wants. But if the MC is skittish about Warblades and too busy/lazy to read Tome material, being able to make that specific build work will probably be a no go. Just combine core Fi...

DrP, you're putting the cart before the horse on a hypothetical. For the hypothetical situation here, you define what the base classes can do, then line-fit abilities for subclasses/multiclasses/whatever after you have the base abilities down.

So the line died for four years between Awakening 1st and 2nd. As the horrible shovelware machines of D&D 3.X and Pathfinder have shown, you can still continue making product for a line about to be switched over to a new edition up to about a year before launch. Awakening 2nd got four. And was a...

But what are the challenges by level going to look like? That's an interesting question, but not one you should attempt to answer before you have your actual list of monsters. If you declare that Level 7 is the level of large battlefield energy damage, you are essentially attempting to make the mon...

Yet another way 5E harmed the hobby... by lowering standards. Its payola-powered "popularity" seemingly convinced the competition that the d&d demographic will just play any piece of shit anyone cobbles together. Not that PF was that great to begin with, but it was at least the playab...

On that topic are there any quick patches to PF to add in armor penetration quality of weaponry? 2E Combat & Tactics did a bit with that for crossbows and firearms. Depending on your range category, you could ignore 2/5/all of your opponent's armor bonus to AC. So, a quick port could be a simil...

I would guess because spell levels increasing every odd level except 19 bothered someone? If the half-casters are getting half casting off of set lists (like Starfinder I think) then going to 10 levels means they can literally get half of that. Also yeah, that was more Keystone Kops than Social Just...

It does lower damage, while having worse range and effect area than Ice Storm and allows a save, but it's a legit DoT with added crowd control that isn't Solid Fog good. Probably 3rd level, like Ice Storm.
