"While using Blueshift to run long distances, you take nonlethal damage or must rest based on your distance travelled not on the time spent running or hustling. Example: A 10th level Speedened, Erik, uses his Blueshift to convert the Run action into a move action, allowing him to Run twice per ...

Excellent list! It's true, the art of insult has been lost. Mainly because if you use anything other than 'shit', 'fuck', 'crap', or 'jesus', people look at you funny. Pretty much only in the company of geeks can you call someone a noxious load of pig feces and actually have them understand what you...

I'd just like to lend my weight to the fact that the Australian accent, especially the goddamn western sydney australian accent, is terrifying and horrible. I get told by various non-australian people I know or have met that my accent (that I can't hear) is cute, awesome, or amazing. This pisses me ...

Yeah, here in australia we don't have anywhere near the level of state independence you crazy americans 'enjoy'. Some (very few) laws are different, there's different state infrastructure and they're loosely 'independent', but everything is still ultimately under the purview of the federal governmen...

This is actually a problem I have with a lot of games that I end up playing in, and one of the reasons I really, really dislike FR. Building a setting can take a bit of work, sure. I can understand why someone would not like to do that, if they could just buy a setting instead. Some settings, like E...

Koumei's list > the 90% of races written up as playable for DnD, combined. I need to play more goddamn yuan-ti. Also, I was thinking about character archetypes the other day, and how each stat has at least one subtyped [Awesome] image/character concept/class attached to it. I mean for strength you'v...

Modest horses are medium (people) size in DnD.

It's a bit weird but I tend to just modify those measurements on the fly. I mean, it's not like all the stuff wasn't hacked together in minutes by some sleep-deprived writer/designer anyway.

This is exactly what i've always wanted and what i've always never been able to run anything but. The idea that a setting isn't reactive like a real world is one that fills me with puzzlement. If the goal is to simulate/narrativate a world similar to this one, why does it react like elastic every ti...

If I can't get a graphic artist, this game will use ASCII graphics like Dorf Fort. Get a graphic artist. I know a few. Seriously. Get an artist. Dwarf Fort works because there are people insane enough to use its incredibly unintuitive interface due to the sheer amount of work that has been put into...

Kaelik - Like Roy, you seem to have some trouble understanding how people play the game. People don't usually milk a class for all it's combat potential. Even veteran minmaxers/game-designers-who-use-math usually don't do this. Making a base class that is comparable to a maxed out cleric or wizard u...

For the deflect arrows feat, instead of giving infinite deflection at level 16, (or maybe as well as), why not use up AoOs to deflect arrows? Each projectile you deflect costs you an AoO.
