Don't forget that the Japanese used Imperial Way Buddhism to justify their ambitions, what with bringing the world closer to enlightenment by crushing everyone beneath their heels and all that.

Re: Why change dice to fixed systems when we have computers?

The same people who take 11 years to add up 16d6 also fail ate teeing up dice generators efficiently. No, I'm pretty sure that they can handle the dice generators. There are plenty of people out there that don't have good math skills that can use software with mathematical functions perfectly fine....

You know, I really wanted to give this idea a chance. I thought it would be cool to like have a zombie or monster apocalypse and all of civilization resided in underground/extraplanar pockets for centuries TTGL/Fallout style--but when they come out instead of finding a wasteland they find purdy nat...

So, my parents have trotted out the word "study" everytime we talk about politcs' intersection with sexual orientation. Apparently there are studies that say gay couples raise children badwrong, and that being openly gay in the military is a danger to the state. Would people kindly hand m...

The current group of fuckups at the WotC D&D branch couldn't find their own ass with both hands. Yes, but how much time is left on the clock before WoTC decides to either "clean house" in the D&D division or sell off D&D to another company altogether? D&D is a property tha...

All this talk of merging D&D and Magic The Gathering is all fine and well and all, but are the odds that WoTC would actually *do* that? Seems like a pretty slim chance to me.

Magic The Gathering has all of the elements for a great RPG game. And tying D&D to it would probably result in a flood of new players to replace the grognards that are/will dying off. But they had better make sure that their rules set is pimp-tight, or else the whole thing will backfire and blow...

The idea is that with static hit points (or nearly static hit points) and a comparison of damage to toughness to see how many hit points are actually lost, that you can scale the strength of attacks and defenses off into crazy town with linear bonuses rather than constantly multiplying. So let's sa...

The chances of them ever becoming real friends (or more) is soul-crushingly low. There is a small chance they might be willing to let you pay for sex. ...

Immigrating From The United States?

Does anyone here have any idea how problematic is it for Americans to move from the United States to another developed country? What are some of the better options that are available? Is anyone aware of any resources or websites dedicated to this topic?
