So basically, I should be a sword and board fighter, and not bother with/worry about magic (be it sorcery, miracles, or pyromancy), at least until I really know what I'm doing.

Speaking of Neverwinter Nights, a twofold question: which is better between 1 and 2 (without the mask of the betrayer expansion for the latter), and is druid as facerollingly easy in those games as it is in 3.5?

Uh... sure? You just take Monk levels, then you buy a Candle of Invocation, then you wish for a Ring of Infinite Wishes, then you use Wish spells all the time as your actions? I mean. How much cheese do you want? I imagine he wants to fight primarily with his hands and do some crouching tiger/hidde...

Pretty much just a theoretical/hypothetical thing. I've been playing a lot of smash 4 and street fighter 4 and while monk is on the fluff side a good parallel to the likes of ryu and akuma, I'm also aware that the typical pathfinder monk is... well, poop on a stick.

So, having already asked about and explored alternative punch classes, I must wonder, is it possible to build a monk (like, the actual monk class) that doesn't suck monkey bollocks? Some manner of piling archetypes on, or holding one's nose and using unchained, or whatever?

Is there any way to make sword and board (specifically sword and shield, not just shield, or shield and shield) not suck donkey bollocks in pathfinder, even with third party materials? Or should I slap myself, disregard the notion, and just leave the style relegated to video games?

I thought the vigilante was basically a hot bag of piss or something, wasn't it? Also, level would probably be within the 1-8 range at most, since that's what tends to be played in my group.

So, question: what's the best way to make an unarmed badass type in pathfinder (read: one who kills his enemies with punches and/or kicks, or maybe with a gauntlet) with the least amount of suckage? Warpriest? Pure Cleric? something I'm not thinking of because I'm a moron?

That, and also the thing where you could avoid a crit/sneak attack once a day became once per ever. As in, if that item was used to avoid a crit, it can never do so again.

Speaking of all this Dark Souls stuff, seeing people talk about it almost makes we wanna get into the Dark Souls series myself, but when I tried playing the first one on xbox, I was complete balls at it and couldn't get past the second boss not counting the tutorial one. Would 2 or 3 be any good to ...

Thanks for taking up my requested OSSR, Prak. I like the idea of weresaurians like the Mokole, but WW being WW, things get wonky quickly. That's why my mind-scalpel is required whenever I run a White Wolf game in my group, so I can surgically remove the bits that don't work for us.

Since there was an OSSR of oWoD Werewolf's Rokea book, maybe someone could do one for the Mokole or Gurahl breed book as well?

So then, how would I manage my attributes, since wouldn't being a shapeshifting focused druid kinda pooch my wisdom for casting? Or would it just be a case of focusing spells on buffs and similar no-save spells?

I know Druids get wildshape at level 4, but I'm under the impression that it tends to drop off in usefulness after level 12. Here's my question about stat allocation in fallout 4: what do I want to have a lot of early on to be an unarmed badass and punch everything that threatens me to death, as that tends to be my preferred fallout playstyle, and I rather enjoyed it in fallout 3?

Minor tangent, Frank, but how was the nerfing of Haste, Harm, and Hold Person bad for the game? Genuinely curious, because I never got to play with the 3.0 versions of those spells, 3.5 was my first D&D edition.

So, what would a good/decent houserule(s) be to make the kineticist and burn thing better at an actual table? I really wanna like that class, because I'm big on elemental mojo, but I don't want a kineticist to be shit on a shit sandwich.

So, at this point, has transmutation become a worthy wizard specialization, or is it still just so full of "meh" that it's not for specializing in, just for putting the gems in your spellbook while specializing in something else?
