 I thought the movie was called Breakin' II: Electric Boogaloo? You going to have to explain the Elenssar thing to me. <insert thing here> 2: Electric Boogaloo is a common thing to describe random sequels, because it rhymes and sounds amusing. From what I recall: Elennsar was a user on th...

D&D 3.5 for RPGs.

As far as board games go, I like a lot of Steve Jackson's stuff like Illuminati and Munchkin. I like Betrayal at House on the Hill.

Another favorite is poker.

But also, if you institute a maximum penalty for anything, you eliminate the ability to create differential incentives past that. That is, if you want people who have committed a crime to not commit a worse crime, there has to be some benefit to them to do it. The law incentivizes with carrots and ...

Is the practiced spellcaster trick actually better than being four levels behind Character Level on Wizard and Sorcerer (or whatever)? It depends on your tolerance for losing caster levels. You can run a wizard/beguiler with wizard as your "primary" casting class, and only have to lose on...

Yeah, it's the whole Ultimate Magus-Practiced Spellcaster "trick". The text of the ability states that levels 1, 4, and 7 advance the class with the lowest caster level, so you can force it to advance levles 1 and 4 for wizard, even though you have more spellcasting levels as wizard, becau...

Psychology is a joke science, and shouldn't be taught to anyone. There are plenty of quacks in medicine, you don't need people playing mind games with people also. :bash: Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's a joke science. Shadzar, you're retarded. [/b]Your[/b] school &...

And Wisdom automatically increases as you age*, and thus as you get older, your hearing and vision improve. Yes it does. And I will stand by that until my dying breath. Just wait until you are older, then you will understand. (So why don’t old people see and hear better than young people?...

Actually, I used to teach my friends binary while drunk. From what they said, I did a fairly good job. My math usually remains fairly sharp so long as I can still walk.

I imagine the history lectures might get funny if the guy started to inject his own drunken opinions as well.

Now, when you say "set in stone", do things open up again if one party member leaves/dies? For example, if Cheshire leaves the group, does that free up teleportation magic for Titus?

What do you mean by it being a meta stat? I guess I've always assumed the problem with Constitution is that everyone needs it about equally, so it doesn't behave the same way as other stats (in that no one ever dumps it). It's never a matter of if you have a good Con or not; it's a matter of how goo...

I agree. I think it would be easier to just add two new stats to D&D altogether and keep the rest. The new stats would be Agility and Intuition. This reminds me a lot of 2E Skills & Powers. They split each ability score into two sub scores, which would have actually covered Agility and Intu...

Yeah, I've seen people offered a free ride to college who ended up dropping out quite early. It's a combination of college just not being their thing and/or them not being invested in it. They don't gain anything, but they don't lose anything. I think Mean_Liar has a point in that you have to want t...
