So I've had lower back trouble for ages. But recently as I walk, along with the pain in my lower back, I also get an odd sensation in my ass. I almost feel like pooping but not. It's only vaguely uncomfortable but it's there in most movements that cause me to shift my body -- walking, sitting, you e...

Kartoffelkrieg: Potato Wars

It's a pretty amusing concept. I'm not sure if the gameplay holds up well. But I can easily see this as a few one-off games. Really, I wanted to highlight their innovative video more than anything else. :)

But archers/kiters aren't really based on real life tropes. They are based on literary tropes. Just because they share features such as the same weapons or look similar, it doesn't mean they are the same or they act in the same exact way. IN games, people don't fire arrows until they run out and the...

Huh, I'm back after a while. I don't know why I reopened the Den today after almost a two-three year break from this place. Of course, coming into the "it's Personal" thread a few years later might mean that I should make a giant post about all the stuffs that has happened (and a lot has) ...

Being a total city boy and 12 (apparently), I lost it when I read this part. I have no idea if you mean determining their gender or something about breeding more Chickens but that seems less likely.

Yeah, it isn't that super hero regulation is a bad thing. It's just that everyone arguing in favor of it has literally the worst possible track record or qualifications imaginable, and also terrible arguments. Fair warning, I haven't seen Civil war but I have read the comics and that makes me an ex...

If you had a setting where humans never existed, what would you have to modify for that to happen? On the one hand, I see that the question poses a sort of hubris that the world would change without humans when there are a whole bunch of other intelligent races around. But on the other hand, I feel ...

Is there a name to the feeling that your life is thrown for a total loop every 10 years or so? Or is that just some sort of confirmation bias or some other fallacy?

My wife is a little confused about exactly how android open source licenses work. She apparently needs to use an app as part of a few paid training courses that she is developing. She isn't going to be re-selling the app, but since it is still being used for commercial purposes. Would this okay with...

I've never actually finished a majority of hte video games I've played. I'll invest crazy amount of hours into the game and then just lose interest. I enjoy the exploration/messing-with-the-game aspect way too much to sometimes see the plot all the way to the end.

Yeah, this isn't really science so I am not going to put it in the science category. It's part of a fucking facebook/email chain that my family is passing around.

Hindu Gotras as explained by Genetics.

So this article makes me cry and laugh at the same time.
