Re: Climate Change

Never heard of "15 minute cities" before. If the Wikipedia article is accurate, it seems fine. I've been to several military bases like that. Not having to drive to get everything done is pretty nice, and all that walking helps your fitness. Listening to idiots arguing against climate chan...

Re: 2022 primaries

Yeah, we did pretty bad. It'd help if the orange clown would go away, but we also need to re-evaluate our message and policies. I'd like to see us make legal immigration way easier, to the point it's easier and cheaper than illegal immigration for everyone except criminals. I also want us to shift t...

Amazing work so far. I'm familiar with the inner Senshi and She-Ra, and have heard of the outer scouts and Witchblade, but I don't know anything about the other competitors or their shows.

I saw that announced and immediately knew Lago would be pissed. Suikoden 1 wasn't bad, but I ragequit 2 once I realized that you would never get revenge on the flying monkey. At least in Dragon Age you can execute the assassin rather than recruit him.

(I screen police candidates for red flags like racist/homophobic/misogynistic/etc. writings and videos. I can teach an ethical person how to enforce the law; I have no use for the other type.) In this case, it seems like if his tweets are so problematic they would have noticed it during the hiring p...

Re: The Biden Administration (No Lago)

Kamala Harris hired a new coms director, and he is now having to delete all his tweets. But why!? Are they not vetting their candidates' social media before making an offer? That seems like a poor decision in the 21st century. It's one of the first things I check when my boss hands me a new candida...

I know in Alabama, a successful self defense claim makes you immune to civil and criminal penalties. Does anyone know if Wisconsin offers the same protection?

I hope they don't send us back to Kenosha. It was nice enough last summer, but it's starting to get a little chilly up there.

Re: Why are kobolds?

In the same vein as goblin->hobgoblin->bugbear, I have them pokevolve from kobold->lizardman->troll. (Trolls look like random plant monsters in 3e, but lizards can regenerate, so my trolls got reskinned as lizards and now all's right with the world.) They also come in both chromatic and metallic.

If the answerer lies to The Gatekeeper, then they're told to get out, and the Gatekeeper will never allow them to pass.... I couldn't parse this bit. They try to leave, but if they lie about payment they're told to get out. Does he warp them out for lying, is this an error loop, or something else?

My brother-in-law stopped by over the holidays, and I invited him to try DA:O when he had a bad case of insomnia. After he left I took another look, and discovered that my copy came with an expansion pack. So while I've been on leave I took my warden commander through Awakenings. Oghran was my bro, ...

I've had over a dozen years experience with handguns as both a civilian and military policeman. I'd go with the revolver. I've had feeding problems from magazines that stay loaded 24/7, while the revolver can stay loaded without putting any stress on the weapon. However, I'm also older and child-fre...

If all heroes are mages, I think it'd be cleaner to remove the Mage tag from the Hero cards, and have the rule book refer to cards with "Mage or Hero tags."

Champions 5e movement question

I got Champions of the North for my birthday, and I'm trying to figure out how fast the NPCs are. One has SPD 7 and flight 33"/1056", another has running 21"/6" with SPD 6. I have Champions Complete, but it doesn't seem to address converting inches into MPH.
