Topic: How to do Werewolf mechanics better in MTG

The only werewolf that actually ended up being played in Standard while werewolves were there was Huntmaster , and that was because it was good both outside of a werewolf deck, and without transforming. The biggest problem with the werewolf mechanic was how it triggered. Werewolves is very solidly a...

Weapons of Legacy was a fantastically cool idea to me. I have an unnatural fondness for the Soulknife class, and wish it was actually useful. WoL is kind of the same concept.

Unfortunately, sacrificing 10 max HP, 2 BAB, and 1 from each of your saves isn't worth having a +2 flaming scimitar.

Oh, man. I actually own an honest-to-goodness hard copy of Magic of Blue. I even played a character that used the book once. In my defense, it was a joke character that shoved snakes down his pants in order to heal himself, but it still totally used soulmelds. Come to think of it, I own each of the ...

Which person gets the top job at the point in time where the next design comes online? Because if it's someone from Magic, it'll be a card game. Tom LaPille was (somewhat) recently moved over to D&D from the Magic development team. He played it as a move because he loved D&D, but the genera...

I've had some real-life medical stuff to take care of, so I've been a bit slow going to come back and check the thread, sorry.

Grabbing whatever seems to be nearby to use as stepping stones would be great, if I'm able to reach/knock off some sex dungeon paraphernalia.

I suspect this isn't going to end well in either circumstance. Do we have any more poles someone can use to help pull me out?

I'm not thrilled about stepping into a dwarven sex dungeontorture chamber, but I also don't want the dimensional door to go to waste. Let's shove the pole through first and poke around at some things?

Unless there's a pressing need not to, we should probably take a look around first, though.

It could, but we don't know. Hence why I don't think it would hurt us to actually wait a couple turns to verify, as we aren't pressed for time by anything at the moment and saying "we wait awhile" takes all of one post when it happens. Hell, if we waited an hour or two, Dac could meditate...

Nothing good ever comes out of a pit. My vote goes to seeing if the door will open more if we pull on the chain more.

Apparently they're doing a live stream of a game today using the latest iteration of the 5E playtest. It starts at 2 PM Pacific, so in a little less than 4 hours.
