Re: Something I thought was odd about G.I.Joe

Nowadays G.I. Joe is an Agents of Freedom for M&M. Don't own a copy myself, but I'm guessing G.I. Joe is listed as one of the better-known inspirations for AoF.

I don't know where my copy of d6 Fantasy is right now, but IIRC it incorporates new spell/effect creation rules originally from Torg/Masterbook:ugo...

Re: All games are breakable. Help me.

GURPS is generally my first system of choice, and I've been quite impressed with the recent 4th edition so far (aside from the incredibly anal-retentive bullet damage rules). Generally GURPS works best when it's closer to human than superhuman. Human characters as the default have always been centr...

Re: Can Rifts not svck?

In some ways, the setting as presented in the main Rifts book works well as a post-apocalyptic setting. Aliens, magic, and precursor technology are all seen as dangerous by the dominant fascist city-states, but it also makes those elements more attractive to people wanting to play rebellious, heroic...

Exalted 1e : Anything I should keep an eye out for?

A local used-book store at which I have a lot of credit recently got a large collection of Exalted 1e books. Seeing it as a way to avoid the endless preperations that have allowed me to put off other games, I'm going to get my group together to play a by-the-book Exalted 1e game until I get I can fi...

I'd skip the sale. It's not that hard to get used 3.5 copies nowadays (try a few used book stores), and they'll only get cheaper and more plentiful in the coming months (especially say, 8-9 months from now?). One of the beauties of new systems, if you're satisfied with the system system that precede...

sigma, one thing you need to understand is that negative criticism and hostility are not unusual responses on gaming boards, it's pretty much the default situation.
