Ooh! Are they going to make in-combat healing worth do - I can't finish that sentence with a straight face. Paladin does it. Swift action healing that scales and can cure a number of conditions a scaling number of times per day. They could go the vampiric way. Do damage and heal based off that dama...

Id just give them a couple ships I either chose or built so I am familiar with its capabilities and know it will be powerful without being broken and their choice can keep the group on the same page. If they pick the smuggler cargo freighter there will be different expectations than if they pick the...

An odd quirk of the system is that in chargen you want to double down on a weapon skill to get two free talent points. Magic skills start you with glyphs instead, and those can be bought with money. Great advice! Though if you are going for a pure mage I found most of the talents outside of magic a...

Am I the only one who read that original line as "I want to make an RPG based on Hamilton, except I don't want to include [Historical Figures X & Y] to mandatorily be non-white?" You're not the only one but we just weren't looking hard enough for the racism. Which is in itself pretty ...

Alternatively, just refluff a wizard? I may be missing something. The Deadly Fist archetype turns the Soulknife into a better monk. No refluffling required. Even if you add Gifted your powers and power points are very small but you can get very appropriate acrobatic and monkish abilities but it's s...

I imagine he wants to fight primarily with his hands and do some crouching tiger/hidden Dragon style wire acrobatics shit occasionally, preferably without needing to carry around a spellbook or feel like an asshole. Then play a Deadly Fist (and maybe combine with Gifted Blade.) Soulknife with a mon...

DnD: Don't track money down to the goddamn penny like the game does by default. Don't put coins and loot hidden all over your enemies so they have to rifle through their damn pockets. Use less humanoid opponents with gear suitable for PCs. Humanoid opponents can have super shitty/mundane gear PCs wo...

In the same vein you want everyone in your cabal to take the 5 dot merit Ritual Synergy (Tome of the Watchtowers) turning your cabal into a fucking super mage that can cast damn near anything with prep time. So long as everyone is focusing on their paths and not spreading themselves thin. Since it's...

You can also free APEX and she will defend the Anarch States and stop the corps from moving on them in one ending. Turning down his job offer and then having the Anarch States kick ass must be pretty humiliating for him and SK. I forget if that requires giving APEX the Dragon killing virus. Anyways ...

they don't actually want to spend so much time or stress buying individual ammunition clips - is already part of modern design which the cranky oldtimer crowd typically dismisses as "dumbing down" a game. I realize you have no argument and you are bouncing around between games pointing ou...

I honestly don't know how to create a coherent and interesting global vampire society. The main problems as I see them are: * Age. Vampire society doesn't exist until about 16th century, when mail becomes somewhat reliable. The problem is that vampires are ill equipped for travel, so there's practi...

I love Arkham Horror and I'd love it even more if the tasks/missions were more fulfilling and players could more reliably pull them off.
