I think curses should give penalties in the immediate and as curse wounds pile up you should probably turn into a frog

Re: New Edition: Monsters

I like the distribution on 2d8 much more than I like 3d6. Here's what I was think of today at work.[br][br]If you set the basic damage that someone does on a hit to 2d8+Stat+level. Then you give as defense DR equal to another stat + level, things work out pretty nice. [br][br]I would say that improv...

Re: More Threads that make us Laugh, Cry, or Both

Paladins, a crafter wizard and a Barbarian/Necromancer can't pull their weight by third level? Obviously the druid is the problem.

Re: 4E: Crits.

Well the old way was balanced in that crits always just added an extra percent to your average damage. Really easy to figure out and balance.[br]Also extra crit chance and extra crit multiplier were balance. The number of critical hits was dependent on your chance to hit so there was no case where e...

Re: New Edition: Iconic Characters

I like the idea of Centaurs or even indeed a mishmash of varios taurs as the last race. Especially if modeled after persian magi or Bhojaka

Their dharma problem could be because of not being endogamous enough. If you catch my drift.

Re: New Edition of Rules

The easiest way to keep track would be to make hitpoints the last digit on your "damageometer" and every time you run out you take a wound level and go back up to full, subtract any excess etc.[br][br]I'm guessing though that we want some other specific condition to happen when HP's drop t...

Re: New Edition of Rules

I don't like rolling for hit points I think it's unnecessary but I fully support rolling for stats.[br][br]As for wound levels, I imagine that they would be a building penalty against certain actions. So that traps/early combats could have a lasting effect on a character and have HP change up and do...

yeah nominal is the column you ignore because the effects of inflation have not been factored in.[br][br]This means that while the GDP was higher in Dollar value in 1929 than in 1936. Umm all of the sources Crissa posted indicate that the GDP was back to 1929 level by 1936 after which there was a slight downturn. Note that the gdp never falls below the 1929 level after 1936.

Please bother to read the sources you're telling people to read.

Yeah there's invertable formulae mapping the natural numbers to the evens and the odds y= x/2 for even and y= (x+1)/2 for odds where y is the corresponding natural number. So they have the same size. As far as I know aleph-nought is the "smallest" infinity. So any infinite subset of the Ra...
