Would it be reasonable to have high-level evocations work as percentages? As in, if you get hit by Rocks Fall you lose half your HP on a successful save. And fucking die on a failed one because the actual damage of an atomic explosion or the core of the sun or whatever is Infinity. Admittedly, then ...

Catharz, the full version of Mindsight you quoted specifies that you pinpoint locations down to the square so a creature hidden/invisible/whatever still has full concealment. And that is good. I see both points for the range, and in my own game would keep it longer, as a near epic character being ab...

Sense Motive Sense Motive is better than Decipher Script, yeah. 14 ranks: You gain mindsight, which allows you to learn the intelligence and type as well as pinpoint the location of all creatures within the range of your telepathy. This is a mind-affecting effect. The original Mindsight in Calamari...

So, commentary. Telepathy While Telepathy is not a very good ability, Mindsight is crazy good. Any non-buff-oriented spellcaster would be crazy not to take this feat. Ethereal Wanderer Nothing to report here, move along. Shadow Walker What's up with the Light Blindness? Get rid of that crap. Anyway,...

Positive reinforcement can quickly morph to punishment if Trevor's in the same game as Steve the jerk. I am fully on board with punishing Steve for bad behavior. Jerk probably deserves it. And positive reinforcement works better in forming new habits while the reverse is true for old habits. Ideall...

Shadowcraft Mage feat is based off of the Shadowcraft Mage class, with some reductions in power, and the closing off of all major loopholes that the class originally suffered from. Shadowcraft Mage had a hide and bluff skill requirment. So that is where hide came from. That's all very well but wher...

Any EZ Class should have a positive reinforcement mechanic built in. So if Trevor walks around the dungeon admiring the local architecture he gets to Detect Traps but if he declares he is Detecting Traps he gets a bonus. Basically, if Trevor chooses to interact with the game he should be rewarded. T...

A: Pokemon... that's a denomenation of christianity, right? B: Norse Paganism, thank you very much. Yes, Prak, I read that. I meant how the fvck is Norse paganism related to pokemon in any way, shape or form? Is it absurdist humor or something? Because from where I'm standing it'd make just as much...

I like how Greece decided to stop online gambling by banning computer games. Though another European I spoke to is not convinced Greece even has electricity, so maybe that's no big deal. A big thing about Greece is what the law says and what is actually enforced. I used to work as a computer tech a...

Frank's Rant
Paizo seems to have taken down Frank's rant on Evocation levels so here it is: Polar Ray is an insult to god and man. It's not a long legacy, it was introduced in 3.5 and before that it was merely one of several options for the much lower level Otiluke's Freezing Sphere. And of course, in Pathfinder...

I own two HDDs, one split between NTFS5 for Win 7 and Ext4 for Mint. The second is a nearly full 1,5TB Seagate (NTFS5 too). My problem is that one day WinXP (changed to Win7 later, same results) stopped seeing the disk. No label, size showed up as zero and when I tried to access it it prompted me to...

All PrCs on that thread are meant to take a monster straight out of the Monster Manual and by the time they are finished make it a playable character. The only requirement is, in fact, be monster X. I mean, what other requirement could there possibly be? If you're a MM Dryad you pick the Dryad PrC. ...

Re: [School] Feats & other stuff.
Not sure what you were trying to say by I guess it was "...when other creatures attempt to turn them." Correct me if I'm wrong. Exactly. Sorry, I kinda lost the text there. Mind Reaver Better. "One three weeks" is a typo I think. Also, when you say duration is not reset does thi...

Re: [School] Feats & other stuff.
Battle Mage The level 1 ability is weak. I'd give it a duration of one minute. Master Healer Cool Master Summoner Cool Master of Space Cool Overlord As per the Tome of Necromancy Turn Resistance bones you just as much as the enemy. I suggest rewording it "Undead you create count as double thei...

Re: Acid and Electric Magi
Saving Throws: Standard stuff though I'd prefer "Character level" to "Class level". As it is this class does not multiclass worth a damn. Ability Modifier: Uniqueness. Sure, why not? Personal Charge: As I said, I hate this "ability". Lightning Shock (Su): I like the Ch...

Rejakor, you've convinced me on both counts. See above. It's a prereq. I think that was one of the changes he made in the last round of edits. Yes, it was. Thanks for the heads up btw. Let him use his epic sunglasses to make ranged attacks. Treat as magic returning throwing axe, maybe. Done, sort of...
