ALSO, IT IS FALSE, BECAUSE TEAMS THAT SPEND LESS MONEY SOMETIMES WIN. Now pray tell me which team that isn't top3 money-wise in its national league won the uefa champions league in the past 20 years? And btw, this is what Sottle , a professional HS-player wrote on the matter: Just for perspective, ...

Frank, I guess that you don't even read the stuff people write before attacking them with childish insults. Isn't it traditional to actually point out what the strawman was, specifically, if accusing someone of mischaracterising your position? Your claim was that Pay To Win is applicable only if pa...

Frank, I guess that you don't even read the stuff people write before attacking them with childish insults. But hey, it's not like you didn't do that in the reaction rolls thread as well. You stumble over your ego way too often. I could mention that you're writing a lot of great material, but as you...

Pay 2 Win means that one player can gain a substantial advantage over another player by spending money. That is all it fucking means. My definition is that you can't win in a pay to win game without paying or that you automatically win as long as you pay. And you can win without paying in Hearthsto...

How does this rant contradict my claim that hearthstone doesn't require you to pay to win? Hint: it doesn't. Because you really don't have to pay to win in Hearthstone, unless you consider time-investment a payment. Here's a challenge to shut you the hell up: define pay-to-win and name a game which...

Shut up. To hit legend you need to play several 100 games.

Dude, if you invest so much money that you have every single card the day you start playing, you still won't hit legend without playing a shittonne of games. First because you need to become a good player and second because it even takes professionals several 100 games a month to do it. And you only...

When i started the game i hit rank 13 with a basic mage deck. After unlocking naxx i hit 10. Hearthstone is not pay to win. Play arena, do your dailies and build a zoo, tempo or face deck which are mostly pretty cheap. Although i have to admit that it has become harder to catch up for new players. T...

Bad cards do not help players learn the game. Simple [/i] cards do. Ben Brode answered that bad cards need to exist to teach new players Monte Cook and Sean K Shitlord say trap options need to exist in tabletop to teach new players. Fuck this mentality in every form. It's a bad argument, certainly....

Power Creep in Hearthstone (and other CCGs)
The second expansion is about to be released and as expected some of the cards are simply a better version of old cards. There is a 5/4 taunt creature for 5 mana in the basic set and now there's a 5/4 taunt for 4 mana. Or the infamous Magma Rager who is simply outclassed by Ice Rager . Kripparian si...

Is anyone willing to do a beatdown review of RaHoWa? I'll understand if nobody's willing to touch it. Honestly, I think that this kind of shit shouldn't get that kind of attention. That would be wrong. This piece of shit doesn't need a thorough examination to be labeled racist trash, just pointing ...

Only if Character X does the full 100 hp of damage does the incremental attack actually contribute to the If, on the other hand, Character Y can only use his SoD based on the opponents total remaining hit points, Character X can potentially contribute even if Player Y is ultimately successful. If P...

No one has presented anything in favour of a more unified mechanic? Aside from it being obvious and fucking basic accepted fact that unified mechanics in general where possible are beneficial, arguments in favor have been presented in this thread from the opening post. Please enlighten us why "...

Magic in DSA is not really less powerful than in DnD. While the warrior has to fight one dude at a time when he's level 20, the wizard can cast horriphobus and send a whole pack of monsters running from the beginning. But the real reason why casters are better than you in DSA, is what malak brought ...

The point of this thread has long left the road of a discussion and entered the realm of doing whatever is necessary to convince oneself that the opposition is dumb; and that includes and doesn't stop with strawmanning and false quoting. Happens way too often that people's egos become more important...

So DeadDM, you are a chess master. You have dedicated your life to playing Chess. And you set up the greatest Gauntlet you can imagine, of the best chess players in the world, and Deep Blue. Then, you play them, and beat them. And then when you walk over to be interviewed about your great accomplis...
