3, I post the most entertaining parts on IRC. People laugh. I get personal validation from having entertained people. And here you have your answer for many of the posts here. We post up entertainingly stupid things about Pathfinder, 4e, 3e, etc, people laugh, exclaim, etc. and we all feel validate...

Most of the gist of the thread I got was stuff like "I abused the rules better than the paladin guy, even when the DM frontloaded all the dice in his favour". I missed the part where some other dude drop out. What the actuall fuck at what point did I abuse the rules. Was it when I took a ...

Telling people to suck a barrel of cocks is just the Den's way of saying hi. No it isn't. It is a complicated way of telling people that you do not agree with them and would like them to either leave or drop the conversation. Not really that creative. But the idea gets through. It is a bit like 4ch...

Thanks for the honest explanation. Yeah that game does sound like it sucked. Did you ever confront the DM on it? All of that was in my previous posts if you want to spew passive-agressive bullshit at least read the thread first. As for the DM if three players walking out doesn't convince him of any...

After Sundown I found that pretty hard to read actually. First time I saw it I was thinking it was a joke. But then it went on waayyy to long. (Then I found the SA comments about it, you got to admit, those where funny). It also has a certain writing style I'm not really a fan of. It keeps self ref...

People get bored and feel like debating stupid shit, perhaps? Alternatively we're all nerds, and that's what nerds do, have you not seen Big Bang Theory? Not a fan of the BBT. I kinda dislike the easy stereotypes. Season one was funny, but after that it got boring fast. why are you here? Honestly t...

Mikal, they are avoiding your questions, so I think you are doing something right. :D Edit: Regarding the topic. So basically what you did is step into a not so experienced group, disrupted them with your superior knowledge of the game and then walked away? Just because they called themselves "...

Looking at real life examples, the wizards will win. It took the greatest military force in the world ten years to kill one arch mage . And this mage is actually only a cleric. So mages win. Period. Can I ask a question, as an outsider. Why are you guys discussing this so seriously? (And not only th...

He doesn't act like it. And I'm amused, not offended.

Yeah, but what if those trolls used their magical DM vision the consume all those consumables before the combat started? Then the party is cheated! Cheated I say! Why do you hate your players? Leave your players alone! But seriously, does your group find troll monsters fun? When I DM'ed and used the...

Give the players some kind of magical bonus, that they have to look up on weapon vs armour tables etc. A item that has a nested random table for effects. Some results taking forever to resolve. Stuff like the goblins comic shield of wonder: http://goblinscomic.com/the-shield-of-wonder-more-pages-co...

I'm not really sure on the definition of trolling, isn't it just acting really really stupid and then saying you were just trolling? Regardless, since we don't know the creature, nor the situation it will be in. I'd say, look at where it is, where it'll be fighting, and who it'll be fighting. Perha...

Missed that. Guess, the whole idea of diseased trolls got the better of me. Edit: well all cursed items are basically made for trolling. Bags of holding that are actually creatures that eat your stuff. Potions that are labelled wrong. The potion of water breathing is actually a potion of fire breath...

Trolls? Why not give them nasty virulent flesh eating diseases or molds. The regeneration should save them. But they will be a menace to deal with. As putting the regenerating remains of the troll on fire means you now have to deal with horrible diseases and other dangerous stuff.

Well, this is kind of a silly question. I just got the game, is there a good place for newbs to play other people and learn the ropes? The unofficial irc channel #dominions at irc.gamesurge.net has seen a recent influx of popularity due to dom3mods duel tournament. (Organized by frosted, it caused ...

Due to MrSinister pointing out this board again, I visited here. (Don't worry, I will not stay and spread my CBM loving filth all over your vanilla pancake ;) ). I wanted to point out two things, the first, the release (well, upgrade) of Momfreeks item/spell/unit browser: https://dom3-mod-inspector....
