So nobody in your HERO games ever make Perception rolls or use about half of the skills in the game?

Perhaps it's different from where you live, but in the area where I live, the local governments have said specifically that freedom of religion only applies to judeo-christian beliefs. It's technically against the constitution to do so, but no one's stopping them because the religious right have a ...

Although I disagree with Crissa on this statement:[br][br] . . . and several of the stats don't really do anything. [br][br]There is one stat that is somewhat mechanically worthless and that is Comeliness which you get at 2 points per 1 character point. So 4 whole character points is what it takes t...

Re: Anyone feel like min-maxxing in D&D anymore?
Crissa does bring up another limitation in HERO. The lethality index is kind of low in the game due to it's Superhero roots. People get knocked out a lot in the base system, but killing them is a good bit toughter and in certain genres can be too tough. The optional hit location and wounding rules h...

So they finished the show? Or just the season?
I have found that I watch more things via Netflix than actual TV anymore. Especially things that come on during the weekends so I haven't been following any of the swank DC cartoons at all recently.

It's funny, but the game that started this thread had its production run stopped in under a year.
I'm so happy I didn't spend money on it. I guess it's the Vs. system if I want to get my CCG on for money.

So I'm over on the HERO Games boards and D&D came up in a thread about advantages of HERO over other systems. No problem I can name several especially with regards to D&D that go beyond subjective preferences. However while I can't stand 3.5 anymore there were folks running it down by just b...

I wouldn't allow that. Other than meta-game reasons they have no reason to believe that box isn't real. Sure they could try to feel it and stick their hand through it, but I would count that as their interaction to see it's a glamer.

Putting a guy in a box with Silent Image is always one of my favorites. They can't see through it unless they make their will save and they're guaranteed at least one round of interaction before they are allowed to attemp that Save.

Strength is super cheap. Run your strength up crazy high and then if your GM isn't paying attention see if you can't throw some naked power advantages on it while he isn't looking. Technically this should go over your Active Point (AP) cap, but if you're dealing with somebody not paying attention yo...

Wow, I'll take not understanding Math for $1000 Alex. So the guy doesn't how on average you won't remotely do nearly the same damage fighting with two medium weapons via TWF versus two-handing something. And his Two-Weapon defense comment is a damn joke. Because of the to-hit penalties I can get the...
