Re: Is there any reason for layered spell saves?
This effectively quadruples the useful spells of a spellcaster, which are limited mostly by spell DC. Hold person remains a save or die spell forever, instead of getting replaced by actual save or die spells. [br][br]Depends on your definition of "useful". We still rarely if ever see lowe...

There's no reason you should ever be attacking one at a time when you can totally surround a guy and gangbang him, the only reason you wouldn't be doing that is if you had metagame knoweldge. I agree with the Guest. Anytime your character takes an action because of knowledge the player had and the character did not, the player is metagaming. Ess' Project Class #12: The Greenbond
Here's Monte Cook's druid variant, the Greenbond, given shape. THe only thing to notice here is that this Geenbond gains the same level of spellcasting that a Wizard or Sorcerer does (complex), putting him quite a step above the Druid in spellcasting ability. I agree with Desdan Mervolam. It sucks the hind tit that Whirlwind Attack requires Dodge when the two aren't related in the slightest. Heck, Whirlwind Attack isn't mechanically related to anything, and it really should just have a straight BAB +11 prereq and nothing else.

OK, R.C., your reasoning is so bad I don't even know where to begin. [br][br] But when the PCs have the ability, the monsters aren't necessarily going to be able to adapt. With karmic strike you're blindsided. You have no idea you're provoking an AoO by hitting the enemy. That's a huge difference. [br][br]Not really. You hit him, he takes an AoO. Heck, why not gain a seperate pool of SP from each stat, and be able to spend SP from that stat's pool on skills with that stat as a key attribute?

In ninjitsu, there is an entire class of maneuvers called Yubi-Jitsu. Some of these maneuvers can be used during a stand-up fight, but the vast majority of them require you to be grappling -- and, in fact, require your opponent to be (apparently) winning the grapple. If your arms are busy attempting...

Re: Miasma isn't really THAT broken.
The problem is that the "fairly unreliable chance" you mention...isn't. A 13th level Druid can Chain Miasma the entire party, preventing anyone who doesn't have a Silenced Greater Dispelling from saving anyone -- and that that caster can only attempt to save one person.

Don't leave off the fact that the Druid gets Charm Person or Animal, meaning that they can force themselves into the face roll even if they don't have skill points in Diplomacy.

With a Ring of Spell Storing, a quickened Enlarge is only half the capacity. Add the 10 ft reach from the Enlarge to a 10 ft reach weapon, and he has 20 ft(Who cares about your Widen now?). Re: Fixing some of the sorrier feats in the PHB.
The boost to weapon spec is waay out of line with what a feat should provide. +2 to damage is totally fine on it's own; if you want to (for some reason) make it even better, it should be a very minor extra benefit, like a +2 bonus to confirm criticals.

Re: Houserule This! The Falling Fighter Dilemma
Except that, in D&D, objects fall instantaenously, all the way to the ground. There are no rules for how far you fall in a round; you just hit the ground. Teleporting/DDooring into the air just means you hit the ground effectively the instant your spell completes it's effect. I'd allow a readied...

Re: The Totally Insane Initiate of Mystra Feat
Quick sub-note: The Cleric doesn't even have to have the Widen Spell feat to pull this off, because whenever he needs to cast AMF, he's definitionally not IN one, which means he can use the Widen Rod to full effect here, and save himself a feat to put into archery practice.
