Game play mechanics wise, both games are phenomenal if you don't mind turn based combat. The second one has a few hiccups in it, such as the force crush ability being an auto win in boss fights for the Sith Lord prestige class. Story wise, the first one is far and away superior in almost every way. ...

Corporate E-mail monitoring

So, I have always been in favor of a company's right to read the e-mails of their employees on the company sever. But recently, a thought occured to me about it. Every day, more and more people switch from standard mail, to electronic mail, and if I were to open up a letter sent to an employee that ...

I said that gun accidents are preventable, not changeable. there is a difference. There is no way with IVF to say, I don't want to have 5 fetuses growing inside me. Please make sure that doesn't happen. A doctor can go in later and take the other 4 out, but he can not ensure that they are never ther...

No, he very specifically said that fertility treatments are a problem. He very specifically said that the method used for having children is a problem, and he used an example of someone who did not reduce their pregnancy at all. He has a problem with fertility treatments, even though he won't give ...

Actually, he didn't say that fertility treatments are wrong. He stated that extinguishing a life you went out of your way to create is wrong. He said he has a problem with the way they had to rename it "Pregnancy Reduction" to make it seem less morally reprehensible was wrong. He listed hi...

That's not true. Space is filled with aliens who want nothing more than to kill us because they don't like our faces. The SciFi channel told me so.

The closest you are going to get to jamming is to confuse enemy sensors with overload. Think about the way a plane will deploy a crap load of flares in the movies to confuse a heat seeking missile. Pretty much the same general strategy. You generate many different heat signatures around you. This do...

If you want your ships to have more options than just "Laser" give them several types of energy based weapons. Lasers are a good start, Plasma is another. Gamma Rays are always a solid choice. Give them a whole array of energy weapons that do different things. One weapon could be short ran...

I don't like to call it cheating. I prefer to think of what I do as creative interpretation of the dice roll. I have done it in the past for a variety of reasons. Not just to help the players, but also to keep an encounter interesting.

Fair enough. I guess we are just thinking along different horror lines. I'm thinking more slasher flick, you prefer the psychological ones more.

Just out of curiosity, is it going to be retard with knife or dead serial killer coming after you in your dreams more often?

I would change it from FBI agents if you want a horror film vibe. The reason a retard with a kitchen knife is scary to his victims is because he is coming at baby sitters. Not highly trained commandos.

That's just my two cents. take it or leave it.

It's the hypocrisy of the issue that annoys me. If I kill a fetus via abortion, it's perfectly legal. If I kill it by shooting it's mother in the face 15 times, it's a double homicide. I just want the government to make up it's mind on the matter. Either it is a person, and abortion should be agains...
